*rolls eyes*

All right, Adam, here's the deal. From what I understood of your explanation of the ranking system—which I appreciated, actually, despite how it might have seemed at the time—you said that the system would be based more on quality than on number of posts, frequency of posts, or popularity, though each of these would play a small role. You also said that you were not going to update on a set schedule so that members wouldn't time the system update with their own posts and boost their rankings that way.

Lately I've noticed that the numbers have begun fluctuating on a daily basis, which although I didn't think it was anything worth anything, still made me raise my eyebrows. It seems like the other side of the argument there; update the system often enough, and things should conceivably even out. Ish.

But then I post yesterday, and today this world has jumped over fifty slots? Just from one image and a tagline?

Don't get me wrong, Adam. I like the idea, and I think it could be very useful. But I said the same thing about the ad link feature—could work better with some tweaking—and that's still just as misleading as ever.

I readily admit I don't know a whole lot about what you're doing with these features. But it bothers me a great deal to see something just left alone that is as of now imperfect and capable of functioning much better. And other projects demanding your attention I also understand. But, you know....

...you could talk to us. I mean, even using someone who doesn't have clue one as a sounding board sometimes lets you see things you hadn't looked at before. And people like me love thinking about things and coming up with ideas and making things work, and stuff.

Ya know?
