A Technicolor Dream

(I really like Prompt #4; very thought-provoking)
P.S: Most of the time, the character in these prompts will be me, so names would not be likely unless other side-characters are recommended

It almost seemed like a dream. Even from the very beginning; there was a null space. I felt no past or future, only feeling the present. For a second I felt like I was in heaven and had not remembered my earlier life.

The confusion of it all was nerve-wrecking. Even if I describe it now, it feels as if the story is just an imaginary concoction spawned from a drug-addled mind. Everything looked...Serene, so peaceful.
A beautiful song rang through my mind as this all occurred.

My eyes were opened to a bright field of tulips. Most of 'em looked like tulips, I saw a few sunflowers in the distance, and my absolute favorite, vigorously bright scarlet roses. I could smell it, the intoxicating scent of all of these flowers, like a potpourri designed just for me and my tricky nose. I was standing perfectly still, my hands were outstretched to my side, palms facing upward; I looked up to the sky and saw a white sky, not from a sheet of clouds, but a scene that looked as if the sun grew in size. To the left and right of me were large Sakura trees. The thin wispy petals were already falling down in my hands and touching my bare feet.

I felt a warm breeze blow them out of my hand in an almost pre-determined route. "Why am I here?" I said, curiously surveying my surroundings. Fear did not encase me, just wonder. After I called out, I felt a whisper dance around my ear. I could have sworn it said "listen". I was listening to what sounded like...Coldplay. With a smirk I said, "This is as joyous a song I can find here? What about this or some gospel, or some jazz?" and this coming from a person who doesn't really like jazz. The cause of this good mood, I don't know.
Then I saw one big rose...It sprouted up quickly in front of me. The rose shimmered and out came a melodic voice. It was almost singing; "Here, here you are to escape the ire, a wish from a flower can grant your innermost desire."
I smiled and made a half-smile; "What is this? This can't be a dream, can it?"
A petal of the rose broke off and floated down to the top of a daisy. "Pluck the top petal and think of something you would like. However, this power cannot be used for evil purposes; if it is, you will die here, shattering this world forever."

Something positive I thought to myself. I was incredibly skeptical, but amazingly gullible. I thought something simple; "I would like to be able to fly." and picked the top petal off as this voice demanded. The second I pulled it off, it shimmered with a yellow light; then just like that my feet were off of the ground! "Amazing! Is this real?" I shouted. "Here are the rules of this blessing; You must give at least 5 different people one of these flowers for every wish you make by the next fortnight. Find the people that are most dear to your heart, and when your time expires, they can use this well too." the rose spoke to me.

I curled up in a levitated pose and mumbled, "Five people I hold dear, you say?"
