(I Tried)

Since my music tastes are quite eclectic, I still like to follow the rules.
Well, my song ended up being "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens.

I'll try to make a story about it, forgive me for sucking.

--------------------------------
I've always liked felines, and with my recent encounters, apparently ones of all shapes and sizes.

Photography is my passion, and nature is my love. Put the two together and I have a career that is more like a hobby that pays...Handsomely pays to boot.

I bought my lovely daughter along with me on a big trip across the world. We had a few cats back home, but I was excited to see all feline forms that the world had to offer. Mountain lions, tigers, bobcats, and my favorite, the lions.

It amazed me how much the cats loved me back. In the wild, the natives usually aren't so kind to strangers; especially since most of them kill and eat anything they see. My little girl was so brave, though.

She was almost petrified of the animals. I had to teach her how to adapt to the environment...Become one with nature. In almost every region I had to wait until she was asleep to take some very good pictures.

The cats were almost posing for me, they loved me...And I loved them back.
My favorite moment as a photographer, and probably my worst moment as a father...The last picture I took on this expedition.

Sunset...African Savannah...A beautiful lion was asleep.
I heard that lions will not immediately attack, they will roar and scare you away before they get defensive.
However, they look utterly harmless around me, that and when they're asleep.

And my little girl looks so peaceful in her slumber as well...
Do the math.
I placed her right next to the sleeping lion and took the greatest picture of a lifetime.
I picked her up and went back to the cabin; I felt her tug at my shirt and mumble in her stupor. "Hush, little one. The lion is asleep."

-I really need some practice. Thanks The Bard for coming up this idea to help young writers in the struggle.
