That’s right; the topic of my post today is why. It can apply to so many things such as why is there still drama here at theOtaku (though we are not going there). But mainly I’m interested in applying it to the question brought up in a thread over at OtakuBoards about love at first sight. Now the why isn’t about that per se but rather about why people think that a girl has to go through this phase of being boy crazy. I mean seriously… what the heck?
Even more puzzling is the insistence that since I stated that the day emotions take over logical reasoning is the day I need to be shot, somehow means I’m denying the existence of boys. Huh? Now I joke that boys = blech because there are a lot of immature boys out there that more often than not, have one thing on their mind and I have no interest in that (you don't need me to explain that one do you?).
Does that mean I don’t like them or I don’t have friends who are boys? No, that means I’m joking about it because I am not the type to turn into a fangirl and act like an utter fool just because I might think a guy looks cute. No offense to girls that do fall prey to that boy crazy phase, but I find that whole deal painfully stupid to watch. Especially when they do it over a guy who’s a total jerk and yet it’s like that’s okay because he’s cute. *headdesk*
Uh… no. In fact when I see one of my friends gushing over someone who’s cute, all I want to do is smack her upside the head to drive some sense into her, even more so when the guy in question is a total jerk.
