Alrighty. This is my third wallpaper. I can't believe it but I made one each day these past three days. I assure you, I didn't rush them at all. I spent quite a few hours on each.

I get a lot of inspiration from the other artists in the Kingdom Hearts section. I'll occasionally see something I like and try to do something similar. For instance in this piece I lowered the opacity of the backgrounds and layered it so Kairi had a fading look to her.

The idea behind this piece comes from Kingdom Hearts II when Kairi is trying to remember Sora in the beginning. She mentions something to Selphie like "remember the other boy I always played with," so in light of this quote I put the images of the original Kingdom Hearts Sora and Kairi in the foreground and silhouetted them.

As I am uploading this I found a little flaw in Kairi's shoes. About half of each shoe got left out of the silhouette and disappeared. At this point it would be a hassle to go back and fix it as I would have to resilhouette the whole image of Kairi and replace it in the layer, so instead I curved them off. They still look like shoes and all, in fact...I bet you wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out..or even as I did...but I'll quit babbling on.

Oh and I just noticed, the blue tower in the center (part of the Tokyo image) says something with "heart" in it..that wasn't even intentional...but it went over well.

Finally I'll explain the background(s). I layered an image of Traverse Town (I couldn't find a good image of Destiny Island, PM me if anyone knows of a good sized one) and an image of a Tokyo street at night. This is probably gonna draw the line for the people who like the wallpaper and the ones that don't. I dunno..I like it. I like the "a lot going on here" look I guess. The wallpaper just didn't look good with only Traverse Town or only the Tokyo street. I like the lights in the Tokyo image mixed with the familiar image of Traverse Town (or Destiny Islands if that ever works out).
