Personally I really like the white text. I don't think another color would work, It would take away from all the details, texture, richness, of the scan. White also stands for innocence, a good thing for this imaginative scene of Wonderland. Zooming in on Alice and her interaction with the animal makes the wallpaper more personal than the original scan and I applaud your work on the skirt. I didn't mind the first, but changing the color adds more emphasis on the textures already in the scan. I think of childhood and dreams when I look at this wallpaper. It's an endearing entry.
