Oh yes. 귀여워 means cute, but the 워 makes the cute stand alone.
For example, 너는 귀여워. You are cute.
귀엽다 also means cute, but the 다 acts as a verb sort of (not quite sure what to call it) and so 귀엽다 means "(It's) cute!"
귀여운 with the 운 lets us use "cute" as an adjective to modify nouns so you can say 귀여운 사람/키스/나비/etc.
