Futabasha Gets Legally KAN-CHO'D!
Japanese publisher Futabasha announces a loss in court over the property of Crayon Shin-Chan. In 2004, Futabasha started selling Crayon merch in China and was sued by a local Chinese company for copyright infringement. Futabasha sued once to counter-sue and lost, then appealed and the ruling stood. A second similar case was taken to China's highest court and the case was reverted to the second court. Ouch.
