More info on Cowboy Bebop movie
It has been revealed that the live-action adaptation of Shinchiro Watanabe's Cowboy Bebop will not be an "origin story". In fact, the movie will start off with "Spike in his present life". Furthermore, producer Erwin Stoff (who has worked on movies such as The Matrix and I Am Legend) has specifically stated that Watanabe himself shall be the first to even read the script.
