theO Comment Slam Closed!
Many thanks to everyone who participated in this year's theO comment slam. Technically, the last 24 hours had the 2nd-most comments we've ever had posted to this site in a single day (2,285 comments). That's quite a feat! And with the last-hour rainbow boost, those comments had the power of 6,884, which was well above our goal.
While some might cry foul at the helping hand, I know a lot of you tried your best and I didn't want to start 2013 on an off-note. It's not your fault that the industry is smaller and our site a little less crowded than 12 months ago. Plus, we had a surge of last-minute comments, which might not have happened were it not for the boost.
Finally, as Captain Kirk once said, sometimes in order to succeed, you have to change the rules. 
Rest assured though, while I turned softy this year, you should expect the very worst next year. The worst "boost" has been stricken from my vocabulary. *evil laugh*
