“Shhhhh! Keep it down Kisame! Do you want the lion and lioness to catch you and tear you to shreds?!” Itachi whispered to his partner.

“Relax! These dumb cats won’t be able to hurt me!” Kisame said very cocky.

The lions felt Kisame was challenging them for dominance, so they slowly approached him. Sure and slow… Inch by inch they traveled up to Kisame until… They pounced to attack him.

Kisame didn’t even notice. Itachi went up to the cats and fought them.

Kisame was stunned when he realized what had occurred. “I was… about to be…”

“Told ya,” Itachi said to his frightened companion.

Itachi continued to fight off the cats. Kisame started to pull out his weapon, but the cats stopped. “Wh-what?”

“I snagged them in my genjutsu; they should listen to us while hypnotized”

Kisame looked at both the lions’ eyes and Itachi told the truth. They both had those same hypnotized eyes as he witnessed last year when seeing Sasori and Orochimaru’s eyes.

“Come on, we need to get going.”
