Adam seems to think I’m the only person hankering for the return of proper Fan Words. I disagree. Help me prove him wrong, or help him prove me wrong.

Well, well, well,

Some of us have become impatient. I know this from various conversations I’ve had with fellow authors around the site and from my own mind-numbing rants. And while vaguely I know the reason behind the lack of Fan Words, I’m still maybe a little testy. Maybe. That said, I had an idea. Something to make the wait, however long it happens to be, a little more bearable. And you, you authors of theTaco, you can help me out.

I challenge you to write a story detailing why you think the Fan Words update has taken so long. Don’t be that guy that provides me with boring fact after boring fact. Yadda yadda, Adam’s busy. Yeah, sure. We know. So, weave a tale of lies for me. Be a true writer, craft yourself a little world where Adam has to endure a monumental fiasco before he can return to us the publication option. Maybe there’s a cupcake caper? Maybe he’s been taken over by some sort of bug? Maybe the gerbils went on strike? Whatever, make it up, write it, and submit it as an entry. I’m eager to see the lies you lot can spew about our beloved Founder.

So, rules:
Obey the site rules, of course.
PG-13 is your highest rating, you know this. Don’t be daft.
Be creative. (More of a suggestion, really. But hey.)
Don’t be too brutal on the old man. (Again, more of a suggestion.)
You can enter as many times as you like, I suppose, but I don’t see how more than one entry is necessary.
Bonus points for making me laugh.
