to those who are wondering what this means:

In Japan they read books from right-left, it is different from how we read texts. The reason for this is because Japanese characters are much simpler to read when written vertically starting from the right, like this:
-O
-H
-A
-Y
-O
-U

note: they don't have punctuation marks either, like for a question they just simply add "KA" to the end of a sentence (Genkii desu ka = are you well?)

Of course when using Romajii (Roman letters (A,B,C)) they have to use the left-right version, but there are still books and some newspapers that still use the traditional way.

I hope this helped you, because when I read my first j-book I got so confused, the story seemed to go backwards.
