This scene is all too familiar in my life. I have to make sure to not really talk about that stuff... People look at me weird then inch away... NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN! (jk) but they do avoid me after.
It's the curse of being an author. We have to think about weird strange things. It's what we do. Of course, there's always the need to be careful not to go overboard. It's a balancing thing like so much of life is.
Oh no! I would have laughed if I was there! Wait! I mean, laughed with you. I always manage to make those types of situations more awkward because when I fall I laugh my head off and then everyone looks at me like 'what a freak why is she laughing when she fell down?' Um, because it's funny?? All well, I'm sorry it was awkward for you :/
