Working on this, I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be happy or sad. Guess it's bittersweet. There's a downside to elves marrying humans, and that's the huge discrepancy in the aging speed between the two races. Matthew is actually a little bit younger than Cici, but she'll outlive him by a lot - probably hundreds of years. That being said, they've had a long, wonderful life together and their love is still strong. So yeah... take whatever mood from this that you will.

(This is, incidentally, the same Matthew that was featured in my OCtober post. It was kind of fun to draw him like this - I hardly ever draw ancient faces but am pleased with how he turned out.)
