My whole "tribute to attractive British men" took a direct turn into just being a Who tribute. It worked out for the better, given that the assignments turned into being things that I just couldn't do portrait work for. (The third is in the wings, I need to fix it up.)
This project was "animal as metaphor". I made it way too personal in its meaning, but I kinda don't care, given that the rest of my projects have all been pretty broad. It takes its cue from the Ponies for Who movement I got a lot of my peeps to participate in. It's like...we all kind of bonded over it and "follow" the Doctor, not in a creepy cult way but just sort of like a thing we all enjoy.
The animals:
Owl: The Doctor. Puns!
Duck: Mistress Duck/Ducky. Just 'cause.
Greyhound: Blank. Gangly, derpy, loyal.
Cat: Kei. Also just 'cause.
Honey badger: Myself. I don't give a crap, I don't care.
Bunny: AnimeArchAngel/Trip. Small, cute, needs protecting.
Bear: Sangome. Mama bear.
Platypus: Ace. Bizarre.
Monkey: Miss Anonymous/Missy. I really have no idea.
In times of crisis and deep personal stupidity, these people are there for me. (And a few others. Sorry, I still love you!)
Drawn on watercolor and bamboo paper with washable markers.
