So, is it just me or was anyone else told as a child that if you tied a wish to a balloon and it made it all the way around the world you wish would come true?

Well, if you haven't, that's basically what's about to happen in this picture. They tied their wishes to their balloons and now their about to let them fly. I have an odd obsession with balloons lately; they just make me happy. I think it might be because balloons are "summery" for me and since summer is slowly ending I want to hold on to it for as long as possible. :)

Anywho, there are characters from my original stories. One with blue hair is Kind, one with red is Rauch and the one that has yet to see the light of the interwebz and has blonde hair is Lächeln.

It seems like whenever I want to do a more "serious" (read as lolsymbolic) piece these characters get dragged along for the ride. Ah well, I enjoy drawing them and I guess the more serious tone fits with their story. I wonder what they wrote for their wishes...

And doth my eyes deceive me or is that a background!? I liked making the puffy clouds :3 ...but the grass made me want to poke somebody in the eye.
