I looked at Marth. He was busy packing clothes into his luggage. "Hey Marth..." I said.

He turned his head towards me. "What's up, Roy?"

"You're...." I began, "You're really going to this 'brawl' thing, huh?"

He averted his eyes away from me. "Yeah... I have to." he told me. "This is the only chance I'll get, so I'm going to do it."

I was silent for a while. I opened my mouth to say something, but I just turned away instead.

"Roy,"

Marth said my name, but I didn't look back at him. I walked away, instead.

Later that day, everyone was at the gate. They were getting ready to leave. I just stood there, and waited. I said goodbye to everyone. Wished them the best. Hoped they met new people. And they thanked me.

Once I had finished my goodbyes to everyone individually, I stood behind them, and waved. "Bye, guys..." I said, smiling. "I'll miss you..."

They waved one more time, and walked off. Marth turned around. "Goodbye, Roy." he said. "We'll... we'll miss you too."

And they were gone.

I guess I never really noticed that I was crying until I was on my knees, bawling my eyes out. Why the heck are they leaving? Why can't I go with them? Why?! Why...

My mind was spinning. Too many thoughts were going through my head, and I couldn't keep up with them. One thought made its way through, though. The last thing I had said to them as they left. It played over and over like a broken record.

'Bye, guys... I'll miss you...'
