'Nother entry for the NYAF Mascot contest. It took me forever to color this. I read that "Gaka" means painter(artist) in Japanese, so if it's wrong its not my fault.

So symbols, Obviously his painter hat is an apple. Big apple and such. Still somewhat obvious it the paintbrush which i wanted to look like Lady Liberty's torch (i know the flame is gold but i liked blending the colors...) Though The Statue of Liberty is really in New Jersy.

I was thinking "Artist Alley" with the whole painter thing.
