At age 11 Taro was the target of assassination, due to mistaken identity. He was saved by a mysterious wandering sage, who, unarmed, took down four armed season warriors. He became a member of the guard at Kotoyama Castle, but never forgot that day fifteen years ago. He would meet this sage again...under rather unusual circumstances. He's an excitable lad, earnest, and tries his best.
