Name: Emma rose Wentz

Age when kira first appears: 7

Age at end of manga: 14 (I think. I dunno how many years the manga goes through, but I think it's 7 or 8)

Appearance: Dark black eyes with almost no reflection, Dark black hair with slight waves (layered & lower back length) Scars on her arms, neck, stomach and ankles. Half blind in her left eye.

Race: Italian

Possestions: The small stuffed evil rabbit looking thingie. named Dominick ( revelance to the story here, later explanation date). Almost never lets go of it. Forced stealing will be contemtuously met with screams and hitting, and a bruised shin.

The bare bones: Emma rose or "Emily" only has 2 memories of her life before her families murder. He mother singing, and a far off piano tune ***I decided on "pavane" by gabriel faur, because I really like love that song*** ( she can play it by heart)

Emily had amnesia trauma causing a part of you memory stored in your brain to sort of "Delete". The part of your memory is called episodic memory(look it up on wiki), and because there was too much stress on her body at the time of the murder, it shut down, actualy saving her from insanity. She still has prodecureal memory (I'm tierd of typing extra, look it up your self)

She has a mild form of OCD. If something bothers her, she will move it. Contradicting this will cause hurt and pain in your shin bone.

She also has selective mutism. She basicly cannot talk to anyone out side of a close circle of people. If you want the symptoms and side effects, look up selective mutism on wiki.

Emily is autistic, and often does stack things on top of each other into complicated and nerve-wracking designs. She, in her earlier years, barely responds to social stmuli and people calling her name. She has mild sterotypy (Aka: rocking back and forth when sitting, and tapping her fingers on her right hand as if she is playing piano keys, on tables, knees, and almost any solid surface within her reach), but mostly compusive behavior.

Emily has a type of autism you may have heard of, where complicated math problems can be dechiephered within seconds of appearence. ( I need to do a bit more reasearch on this, I'm not sure what type of autism this is, but I know it exsists)

Like many Autistic children, she has a low immunity system lacking white blood cells. She gets fevers often, and has made encounters with malaria, west nile, yellow fever, hepatitis, and the chicken pox, and barely lived to tell the tale.

Emily sits similar to L, but different too.
She sits on more of her butt then balancing on her toes, and clenches her legs to her body by wrapping her arms around the lower part of her knees. Much of the sameness between the two had to do with her personality development, for example, she has almost similar sleeping habits. If her body is desperate, you can hear a "thump" as her head hits the desk and she passes out in sleep. She spent almost a year on and off living together with L.

Emily also has what is called "Butterfly sydrome" Her bones are brittle and weak, and break often, even with a small fall.

Emily is an autistic musical savant, but only with the piano. Though she is not as great as the priceless and over achiving Derek Paravinci ( I would greatly recomend looking him up, he is a wonderfull inspiration and deserves some love. He is a blind, autistic, savant who can do the most beautifull piano peices I'v ever heard. His story is sad and funny.) she can play musical peices she's only heard once, and without practice, can play them almost exactly the same.

Some side notes:

Emily is often bullied by other kids at wammy's, because she cant talk to them (her SM acting up). They think she is just being rude and a smart aleck, but they have yet to know she has selective mutism. Because of butterfly sydrome, she is almost always in bandages on her arms. To resolute this so adults dont notice or worry, she wears a ratty, much to big for her hoodie.

She spends her time at the library, matt& mello's room, near's room,her own room or the nurse's office.

something important: She loves peanut butter. To the point where if hungry enough, she would stash it from the kitchen and store it in her room, eating it off a spoon. When working with Near on the Kira case, she is almost always seen with one jar. Thanks for my dad for that Idea.
Bio:

At 5, Emily's family was brutally murdered by a psycho killer named Peirtrov Kavinci, A maniac russian mobster who disliked her father,an italian mobster. ( I will explain the reason for the deaths sometime later)

She stayed at the police office for almost a week, before L wanted to question her(Through a computer of course). He decided her mind was a dead end after being uncooperative, so he almost ended the video feed when she blurted out The Divine Porportion or PHI: 1.618 better known as the fibonacci sequence(I think). I would suggest to check this out, it's a pretty cool number that can be applied to anything.
He did an IQ test, and found it was astronomicly high for her age,(147) and put her in Wammy's. Though she was mute to all people, her high test scores proved apprehensive others wrong.

Slowly, she was put in higher and higher classes until she was placed in a semi-indevidual lessons, reserved for only the top 4 students. She cautiosly developed friendships (If you could call it that) with Near, Matt, and Mello. Out of nowwhere, during one class, she said the answer to a complicated problem outloud instead of writing it down and holding it up.

From then on, out favorite Wammy boy's spent more time with her, and even though the beating continued with more force from the jealous kids, she never told them.

Spoiler alert~~~ If you havent finished the Manga, dont read on.

After L's death, and the three wammy boys dissapearences, She gets an invatation fom both sides (Near and mello) She after a long decision, choses Near.

She helps him with percentages and gives him the Inital idea to make two copies of the notebook, one fake, and trick Kira into confessing. She most likely spent the rest of her life with Near on the cases.

I dunno. I might kill her off. Killing the main character, to me, is always the most suprising, and heat clenching ends to a book. Always one of the best too.

Before you ask, she is not related to L in anyway. Why do fan characters always have to fall in love with someone, or be related to the main character, I have yet to know.

Yes, I gave a lot of thought to this character. Months actally, the original idea was in january. Though I like to think of it as me not developing her personality and life story, but her developing the way I view the world.

If you could understand all that without looking anything up, I congraulate you. You read death note and other phycological thrillers for the thought, not the bishies. I admire and respect that. You are very unlike the vicious fan girls who simply think that L is cute, and probably can only grab a wisp of the amazing philoshophical concept of Death note.
