Thank you! For the shadow boxes themselves, what entropy said. The one I used for this piece came from Michael's. Hobby Lobby has them as well.

Have you considered multi-plane imagery? There was a trend where artists did a multi-media picture with picture elements on different glass layers in a single frame for depth effects.
