Did you move any of the game files? or did you do a system restore?
Also look up the type of the files and search em up in the pc, for instance the save file type is .SV then just type .SV without a file name and all known file types used recently will show up.
Yeah, one day I opened up the game and BAM! The save state was at the very start of the game. I am confused, how did it happen? I mean, I don't let anyone really use my computer without permission, plus opening up the game and erasing the saves isn't a cake walk to anyone who isn't used to visual novels.
So, it has me wondering, did I maybe do it somehow by accident?
I don't know, and I guess I'll never know.

You lost the save? My sympathies to you.
