Thanks. My problem is that I often get too caught up in polishing and smoothing and then I totally lose the energy of the sketch. So I'm trying to balance the two. ^^;
And although this isn't Valkyrie Profile fanart, my image of what Valkyries look like certainly comes from that series. Hence the influence. ^^ Freya was blond and wore green, so perhaps that's why this one reminds you of her. ^^
Indeed. ^^ I had kind of wanted to do a wolf instead, since Valkyries supposedly rode wolves, but a raven fit into the portrait much better. And thank you. ^^
beautiful piece! ^^ also I found the idea of the raven perfect, because (if I remember correctly), Valkries were sometimes represented by raven in Norse mythology ;)

Turned out pretty well for an experimental piece! And it's got plenty of polish, the finish is very well done.
Did you get some ideas from Valkyrie Profile? She looks like a mix of Lenneth and Freya to me for some reason :P
