Oh I guess I'll to order online then, I don't think the art store I go to has refills, It just has the markers. Thanks for telling me though! I have to go to Hobby Lobby! XD

Lol I know, I'm actually not a big spender either (hard to believe after I told you that xD) I was just tired of using old and simple supplies. I didn't buy it all at once though. I spent $100 on my first copic purchase, but I ended up needing more colours and ink later on. I get the ink at the same art store I got the copics. Its called Curry's. Buying online is supposed to be good too, but I've never done it before.
    That's good to hear!

wow $300?!!! my goodness, that's more then I would ever spent on supply! oh but where would you get the refills? at the art store or do you order them online? I have one copic that's running out, but I don't know where to get a refill.
I don't have to many problems with tearing the paper now that I got the hang of it, but the paper does get kind of wrinkly! XD

Yeah! The copics I bought were Ciao copics and not the Sketch ones... The Ciao are $5 per marker. They are the least expensive ones. Another good thing about them is that you can buy a $7 bottle of ink after that and re-fill them about 10 times! I've had to get ink for my most used markers. I actually don't like buying expensive things, but I've saved up my money from walking dogs so i felt like getting better art supplies... and I'm really glad I did! That being said, I have spent like $300 on them O_O
Its great that Cryolas work for you though. Thats super neat that you do layers! Too bad the paper can rip :( I'd be so annoying if i had to deal with that!! One thing I hate it bent paper and ripped paper =_= But all that time and effort you put into your work really shows^^ The look like mini-masterpieces :)

lol it's oaky! I didn't know that cryolas can be blend well either, you just have to figure out how to color a solid color with out tearing the paper, I also use layers, lots of layers, but I have to wait for the paper to dry.
I wanted to get copics, but they are way to expensive, I only have about 10 and they cost me about $100. I think that if they are sold separately it's $10 each or something?
I like cryolas, but I think you can do more stuff with copics. ^_^

Lol sorry! I just didn't want to sound like a crazy fan again who doesn't know what else to say but I LOVE YOUR ART!! xD

Oh SO COOL! Thanks for telling me, and I'll check out the link asap :) Honestly, I didn't know Cryolas could make such nice art! I spent all my money on Copics so I could blend colours better. But Cryolas look pretty neat and efficient! nice idea for this artwork once again!

lol This comment doesn't sound like you! XD But I don't mind. The background was actually colored with a blue marker, a solid blue then from there I got a q-tip and diped it in water and the pressed it on the paper to get that effect.
I have done that for other drawings, before I even found that tutorial.

the tutorial I used just showed how to get water color effects using cryola markers. if you want to check it out, you can go to here: link

This artist inspired me to use cryola more, but I already used cryola even before I found her work. XD

Okay, now for my professional comments instead of my usual fan girl comments.. ahem This artwork is really pretty. It almost looks like a water-colour painting so i was surprised to hear that you used marker! How did you do the background? did you splatter it with water? I love the soft hues and there's even an abstract feeling in this. Great work!
