Goodness, this is such a sad but at the same time very moving, sensitive piece! This is very inspirational to me. I love all of the soft yet happy colors you used, it looks beautiful. Fantastic job^^
eh, it's a kind of a mix with all my pictures. usually i draw a rough outline sketch and then just go from there with colours. other times, i do grayscale shading and overlay colours onto the shading, and other times i just start with colours and see where it takes me.
buuuut most of the time it's a really rough sketch and bam with colours. :) thanks for asking!
i think i see what you mean by "floaty" but as usual it's your coloring that really get's me-out of curiosity, do you just paint or do you draw the outline then color over it?

and i absolutely love the way you drew *insert name here*, especially her hair and her face. i think i'm falling in love with your new style. :> i wish i knew how to make the hair look so beautiful, but every time i try to paint hair it just doesn't turn out right. :/
