Taking it easy

Hello everyone,

It;s good to be able to post today, i didnt know if i would wake up and have enough time to get to it, but i did lol. I havent been up to much the past couple days, yesterday i pretty much slept all day because i had to be at work alot earlier than normal, but i ended up getting off alot earlier as well. when i got home i cleaned my room a little bit and ended up falling asleep lol. I woke up a few hours ago and made a couple wallpapers :) Making 2 is pretty easy for me, but when i try to start making the 3rd one i can never make up my mind about what i want to create etc lol. So i may just try to create 3 tommorrow when i get home from work :) I already have in mind the 3 anime series/movies that ill use to make the wallpapers:

Aura Battler Dunbine
Pom Poko
Perfect Blue

Those 3 anime movies/series dont have a section on Theotaku yet, so ill be glad to be the first person to have the wallpapers uploaded and ready for the sections , so ill be able to request for the sections to be created :)

I have quite a list of anime movies/series that i own that dont have a section here, so ill be trying to stick to the list to try to broaden the horizon and enlarge the anime sections as much as i can. Maybe i can introduce people to stuff they havent seen before, that would be cool.

Here are the links to the Wallpapers i uploaded today, I hope you like them :)

Catching Up

Hello everyone :)

It looks like its time to post about the dvds ive been watching the past few days ^^, so here we go ^^

Bastard!!: The complete Series

I have always enjoyed this series. its pretty short, only 6 episodes long, but the manga that it is derived from is much longer. the reason the series is so short is because of lisenscing and stuff like that, so the actual dvd series is cut short and ends on a cliffhanger. The best description i can give you is that it is pretty much a mixture of Inuyasha and Record of Lodoss War. Though it is quite a bit more adult oriented with nudity, foul language and violence. I also finally found out that it was created before inuyasha, so it cant be considered a knock off, and if anyone gets the chance to watch this series they will see alot of similarities between Dark Schneider and Inuyasha ,visually and attitude - wise lol. Another Reason i really enjoyed this series is that it is animated in a very very similar way to Record of Lodoss war. Magic is casted in a similar way, weapons and armor are quite similar as well, which is a plus. Id like to think that it could unofficially be tied together with Lodoss War in some crazy way, which makes me enjoy it even more. All in all, its a great series, one of my favorites. It has some cool characters and great animation and it is dubbed very well too. Simply put, it is truly great in all aspects of anime , and i reccomend all anime fans to try to seek this one out ^^

Aura Battler Dunbine: volume 1

Im currently on the 3r episode of this dvd and ive really grown to enjoy this series. It was created by Yoshiyuki Tomino, the guy who created the Gundam universe, and it is animated in the same way as the original Mobile Suit gundam Series because they were released not long after each other back in the day. this series is really different from anything ive ever seen. I combines - mecha, magic, and medieval folklore. all ive gathered so far from the first 2 episodes is that nobles from Byston Well (a medieval type world in an alternate dimension) randomly transport people from our world (Earth) to their dimension by using the mystical power of a magical race of people that they have captured. they then use those people from Earth to pilot large mechas (they look alot like Escaflowne type mechas) that are powered by the person's life Aura. The story so far, is based around 3 young men who are transported from earth, one is japanese, one is american and the other is European i believe and how they deal with the change of life and also how they deal with being soldiers of the nobles, knowing that if they dont help them that they wont be transported back home once the war is won. Its different, but very enjoyable, I have this dvd as well as multiple other episodes of this series on a couple anime demo dvds, so im looking forward to seeing how everything plays out as the series moves on. Id say that if you are a fan of the original gundam series, or the original robotech, then this will most likely appeal to you. id certainly reccomend it to all anime fans because it is simply different from any other anime youll probably ever see lol.

Pom Poko

This is the Studio Ghibli film i posted about a couple days ago. Its animated in the typical Studio Ghibli way (like Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor totoro,Castle in the Sky)and it is just as enjoyable as any of the other movies they have released ^^ It is pretty much based on a forest of raccoons whose forest is being destroyed by humans in order to build more homes, cities, road ways, etc. and the trials and tribulations that the raccoons go through to try and survive, and stop the humans at the same time. This movie also has some mystical essence to it, since the raccoons are able to shapeshift into different objects and even humans, and anything you can think of (alot like Puar and Oolong from DBZ). Like other studio Ghibli movies it has humor, comedy, lessons to learn, saddness, and it actually had quite a bit of actual violence, and in the end , like all of their movies it has a big message to be learned. If you are a fan of Hayao Miyazaki films and other Studio Ghibli movies, you have to get this one, I also highly reccomend it to any anime fan period. It has some great characters and some really great moments that should be seen by all anime fans, be sure to look for this one :)

Armitage: dual Matrix

The be honest, i didnt care much for this movie. It had some cool scenes and some pretty nice aspects to it, but all in all it seemed too similar to Ghost in the Shell. the dubbing wasnt done too well, but ill admit that juliette lewis did a pretty good job. The fighting was done well and i found myself liking some of the characters throughout the movie. i wouldnt say that it was a bad movie or that i hated it, im just usually picky when it comes to computer-type animation and it just seemed too much like Ghost in the Shell to the point where i might as well have just stopped it and started watching GITS. The aspect of the story was cool, and if the dubbing and some of the animation was put together better, i probably would have enjoyed it more. It was fun to actually learn the story behind this anime though because i had heard alot about it over the years, so now im not totally in the dark lol. Id like to try to find any other Armitage movies or series that may be out there and see what they are like. all in all this was an alright movie in my opinion and was pretty fun to watch, iD reccomend it to sci fi/robotic anime fans, because im sure they would enjoy it to some degree :) If you know of any other Armitage movies/series, feel free to let me know your opinion , and/or if you have an suggestions :)

Well, i suppose that will be all for today, im about to get something to eat and probably lay down for a while since i have work tonight, I thank you all for visiting and i hope to chat with you all soon ^^

stay strong, hope you enjoyed the post :)

Otakuite++

Hello everyone,

first of all id like to thank all of my friends and the people that visit and comment on my worlds/art/wallpapers/posts, because i just noticed that I was just upgraded from the normal Otakuite to an Otakuite++. I know to most people that wouldnt mean much to them or be much of an upgrade, but for me it was really truly a feeling of happiness and acceptance here at Theotaku.

I first created my original Yamcha Myotaku page about a month after the Myotaku/membership feature was first created. about 2 years later my Yamcha account was hacked and I lost all access to the account and i was forced to start over with this account under the name Yamchaa here is the link to my original Myotaku page : http://www.myotaku.com/users/_yamcha/

Its still up and running, and there are times that i wish i could still access it for nostalgic reasons, i may give it a try later tonight for old times sake and see what lady luck has in store for me lol.

today i also made a couple of wallpapers

My wallpapers arent usually flashy or hi-tech like most are, but they always stand for something and mean alot to me as an anime fan, so i hope you all enjoy them :)

As for today, before i noticed my membership upgrade , i spent most of the day watching 2 UFC dvds that i bought earlier. I bought UFC:59, and UFC:60, both for pretty cheap and i had a good time watching them.

Last night i took the time to watch an anime dvd i have called Pom Poko. It's a Studio Ghibli film and i enjoyed it greatly, Ill be looking to post a scan of the cover in tommorrows post along with the other dvds i watched :)

The other dvd i watched last night was a Sailor Moon dvd that i own. It was great to sit down and watch Sailor Moon, even though it is primarily intended for girls/women, and i got some criticism from my sister and questions about why i was watching a "girl's show" lol. It was a nostalgic moment even though i fell asleep after the 2nd episode (on a dvd of 6 episodes). Im looking to finish that dvd sometime tonight :)

Ill be searching for another unwatched dvd to watch tonight along with the rest of the Sailor Moon one, and i look forward to posting about that tommorrow as well ^^

Well i mostly wanted to post my thanks to you all for visiting and helping me reach the Otakuite++ upgrade, and i hope you all are still with me when i reach the Otaku Legend Status ^^

stay strong,

Yamcha is here for the long haul ^^

25 years of Decimation

Hello everyone :)

Its good to be posting again, thats for sure. I know its been a couple days since ive posted, but i think ive managed to fight off the laziness this morning, probably because i turned 25 today lol. I woke up this morning around 3am, and pretty much immediately started working of some wallpapers, here are some links to them :)

They were all fun to make, i think my favorite out of the three has to be the Outlaw Star wallpaper, i think the colors just turned out really well. Plus its always fun to make Yamcha wallpapers lol, I figure i have to keep up with all the Super Saiyan wallpapers out there because everyone knows there are tons of those, so i mostly try to make wallpapers of characters that people tend to overlook in Dragonball. Im planning on making some Tien and Krillin wallpapers to upload tommorrow, im still thinking of what the 3rd wallpaper should be. Im sure ill come up with something lol.Ive been planning on making a Tien/Yamcha combination wallpaper, so that will probably be the third wallpaper tommorrow, we'll see.

Yesterday I tried to stay busy, I watched volumes 2 and 3 of the anime series Initial D, I also made a wallpaper for that series, but it didnt turn out too well so i didnt upload it. Ill probably try to work on it a bit more and see what i can do, ill probably eventually end up uploading it anyways, id hate to do all that work and end up not uploading it. I love the actual Initial D series though, its one of my favorites that i own, i certaily hope to eventually own the entire series though instead of just 2 dvds thats for sure lol.

Yesterday i also took the time to watch a couple "Robotech" dvds that i own. I own volumes 9, 10, 13, and 14 and i also own the Extra discs labeled E1,E2, and E4. the Extras discs have typical extras like character models, international clips/promos, toy commercials, comic book gallery pics, animation sheets and featurettes regarding different things throughout the series. though i didnt care too much for the episodes (the dubbing wasnt all that great), it was still fun to watch something different. It kinda reminded me of the original Gundam,I liked some aspects and characters in the episodes, but i think Macross Plus set the bar pretty high for me and i consider Macross Plus and Macross 2: Lovers Again (a movie) to be my favorites out of the Robotech/Macross universe.

A Few days ago i also watched Macross Plus, which, i own the version that is cut into 4 episodes. Its one of my favorite animes of all time. Yoko Kanno did the muisc and Shinichiro Watanabe co-directed it. those of you who pay attention to the director,/musician stuff - Shinichiro Watanabe went on to do Cowboy Bebop, and Yoko Kanno went on to do the music for Cowboy Bebop ( and many other great anime projects as well), and when you watch Macross Plus you can compare it to Cowboy Bebop in many ways - visually and musically.

Thats pretty much what ive been up to the past few days, other than watching ESPN lol. Ive been trying to keep up with the Brett Favre situation and i was glad to hear that he finally got traded, now it wont be monopolizing ESPN and Sportscenter, and i wont have to sit around and wait for updates on whether he was going to stay or get traded lol.

today im thinking about playing the UFC game i have for ps2, and i may play some DBZ Tenkaichi Budokai as well. Its bee a year or so since ive played it so im looking forward to doing some fun stuff and destroying some things. Its due time for someone to get the Wolf Fang Fist ^^

Well i suppose that will be it for today, I thank you all for visiting and i hope you all enjoy the wallpapers, if you have any questions or suggestions, im always here and willing to listen :) i hope to chat with you all soon :)

stay strong and thank you all for the birthday wishes
(especially Bulma for the card ^^)

Still Fighting

Hello everyone :)

I was just laying here bored out of my mind eating some maccaroni and cheese and i thought id put up a post :) Since saturday ive been suffering from some sort of rash on my arms, feet and legs. I believe it to be heat rash from work, but im not totally sure. I bought some medicine yesterday and ive been putting stuff on it and im hoping that it will start to go away within the next couple of days. Ive taken the next 3 days off of work, so i dont have to be back until thursday, but if it isnt better by then at least a little bit, ill most likely be going to the doctor or hospital to see what they can do. Ive never been to the hospital before, and i dont plan on going anytime soon, so im hoping this stuff gets better , so that i wont be forced to lol. Well, i think im going to go watch some anime and possibly make a wallpaper, I thank you all for visiting and i hope to chat with you all soon :)

stay strong,

Yamcha
