Becky's Writers' Bloc Busters, Session Six

Happy Sunday, everyone! Sorry for the delay. My internet was out.

Once again, we had a lovely set of prompt responses last week. Which I have not actually finished reading through myself, but I will do that this afternoon. Responses were written by jomz, waywardwarrior, SomeGuy, and Nehszriah. Thank you all for participating!

Also, I've noticed that not a lot of people besides me are leaving feedback on the prompt responses. If you have time, could you make the effort to say a few words on the pieces? It's wonderful for the writer to hear that you read their piece. And don't think you have nothing to say - if you enjoy reading, you have something to say!

Today, we're going to be something a bit different, in conjunction with my workshop on Thursday. For those of you who have regular characters you know and love, I'm going to help you know them better. And for those of you who don't, I'm going to help you create one!

I came up with a list of questions to answer about the character. You can answer whichever ones you think are relevant, ignore the ones that aren't, and come up with some of your own if you so choose! If you like, you can end there. But if you want to go a bit further than that, you can choose to write a first-person monologue on the prompt at the bottom.

Here are the questions. You can answer them in-character, if you like:

Basics:

Name:
Nicknames:
Age/Birthday:
Height:
Weight:
Hair:
Eyes:

Relationships:

Family:
Significant other or prospects:
Closest friends:
Enemies:
Any other relationships:

Personality and Beliefs:

Religion:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Three strengths:
Three weaknesses:
Talents:
Pessimist, optimist, or realist? :
Outer goal:
Inner goal:

History:

Important background information:
Criminal record:
Happiest time in their life so far:
Any traumatic events:
Education level:
Occupations:

Random facts:

Phobias:
Blood type:
Sleeping habits:
Speech patterns:
Favorite food:
Scars:
Anything s/he always carries:
Favorite color:
Biggest pet peeve:
Childhood ambition:

Now, with the character you answered these questions about, write a short monologue by that character beginning with the words "I am not..."

Any questions, ask them here! Mine may be a bit late, because I have other writing obligations today. But I can't wait to see some of these!
