    @SomeGuy:

    I think the ideas you shared with me are quite exciting and would definitely captivate the attention of the majority members.
    So I support and give you a push to talk to the bossman about them.
    As for any other ideas....I'll get back to you in a bit...

    These are sounding like pretty cool ideas so far. Thanks!

    Now how about incentive to get people to get in on this bad boy? Hmm . . . I don't exactly have the resources to mail boxes of Pocky out or anything, now . . .

    Excellent idea!

    Hmmm....how about you guys give us the head start, you know like a small paragraph, a phrase or something and each of us will continue by writting some more and another add a little bit more, you know, everyone could participate by adding small or big parts to the story until the actual day comes and we would finish by then.

    I think that would be quite fun and interactive! It would help bring more people to join this place and not feel so intimidated by it. =D

    I have an idea, though it's somewhat borrowed from another gathering of writers. I'm not sure how many will know about this, but consider that summer of 1817 (I think it was) where writers like Percy Shelley, Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, and others gathered at . . . somewhere. I forget the name. Anyway, there was somewhat of a challenge among the writers to produce the best ghost story. Or something like that. It was where the idea for Frankenstein was born, at least.

    I don't know if anyone else would be interested, but I find this sort of thing fascinating. We could do as they did, read ghost stories in preparation. Suggestions for these ghost stories could be provided? Ranging from things like Polidori's The Vampyre, Christabel, to more modern tales, even movies.

    Meh, just a suggestion. I'm already working on a Gothic story, but I'd be willing to break from that to work on a shorter ghost story/poem/etc.

    What do I look like? The Wizard of Oz? You need a brain? You need a heart? Go ahead. Take mine.

    I could give scary writing prompts for the rest of the month? That would be rather festive, I think. :D

    Well obviously there's the fact that whatever the written work is, it should have something to do with Halloween.

    I can only really think of one thing, but I believe it does have some potential. What if the contest was to write about the best Halloween party anime and/or video game characters ever had? Obviously crossovers are allowed, etc.

    Basically write out how a party would go if whatever characters were there. Characters could be specifically given, or people could just use whomever they pleased.
