Drafts and the reasoning

So I'm gonna start posting up in the Drafts. I've got a ton of old sketches and drawings that have never been shown, and quite frankly I think they need to xpx' lol

One thing you'll notice about some of them is that they will be in grey as opposed to white. Part of this reason is because of the trouble with the usual transparency, which can make my lines look lighter then they really are, which in turn makes the lines darker and look messier than I thought they'd be. (though my7 monitor settings are set low anyways, maybe it's just me) ANYWAY! I'll start posting some of my old stuff >O>! YAY!

The Top Secret Project works
One thing I've been dieing to show off was some of the designs and concepts for the Top secret project by Acclaim, which I signed up for. I've talked about it a few times in the past, but After a little while, the project had become a pretty unorganized mess, and I couldn't even tell what was going on, so I bailed.
For those that don't know about the project it basically asked gamers to come together to basically be in charge of making an MMORPG game. When I got in, they had already decided on it being a racing game with animals and beasts, and that it was going to be anime.

-warning: a bit of a rant-
I STILL don't know if any of my stuff got picked, but probably not, because there was a "golden boy" artist that everyone swooned over the art for. He dealt only in realism, (and if you ask me, was kind of a jerk about it-- telling a fellow anime-artist to "go outside and draw what you see" after pegging the guy's art) So while me,Code, Valcron and several other people where all doing our best with the anime theme that we where all familiar with, it was like no one cared even though it was EXACTLY what they'd picked.

At one point, After working on someone's request for a character design (a common theme for artists was getting asked to draw people's ideas for them) a few days later after posting my work, they post up "golden boy"'s work with the words "here's a better version" below it. This wasn't quite the last straw, but it was this kind of attitude amongst the people that ultimately made me sick of the whole thing.

The project idea itself was a good idea, but it was executed poorly here I think. It was like every other day, they had to add one more rule that people had to jump through hoops to do, and because of that, there was a lot of confusion on what to ACTUALLY do.
-End of Rant-

The Comic in Question
As I've said before, I've started thinking about doing a comic or manga. I've got several sketches on both the Space Kangaroos and the possible alternative for them which is the steam punk idea. Showing off some samples of both, and getting some responses could help me decide on more permanent settings. The story could easily be switched over to either setting, with few changes.

One problem that came up with it being in a Space/Sci-fi setting was that the character's abilities where all too similar to each other and even overlapped each other, which degraded their value somewhat in their respective jobs. It wouldn't be so bad if it was only two characters, but this is a case where they ALL nearly overlapped. Steam Punk setting actually gives them more restricted field that they each can work in, which is why I'm considering it as a possible Alternative.
Granted this doesn't mean I've settled on it yet. At least one person wants to see it set in Space zpz lol and I'm sure they aren't the only one, but we'll see how it goes.
