Good find TC, I remember seeing that pillar box in london myself. (which looking back, I am thankful It was not torn down, as its such a nice peice of british culture. The sad thing is, with mobile phones, is that even our iconic red phone boxes are being torn down by BT, and also forgotten about.
As a patriotic Brit myself, I cannot convey just how important these boxes were. In times of trouble and strife, the boxes were there for our officers. Then they were shamlessly torn down. Now if officers on the beat want a cuppa, they have to go back to headquaters to make one! What is this, the middle ages?!
