Naruto Shippuuden Movie 2: Kizuna

So I finally managed to get the time to watch the second Naruto Shippuuden movie (#5 in the whole series of movies). I have to admit, I was really surprised.

Here come spoilers, in case you haven't seen it:
The first scene when Sasuke came in and took off the top of his outfit, all I could think was "Fanservice." Then they continued to do that randomly throughout the movie, and I could start to imagine myself, in a theater, squealing with a bunch of other crazy Sasuke fangirls. I hate to admit it, but that's exactly what would have happened xD

What surprised me was the fact that the movie was actually not that bad. It kind of went off the storyline, and ditched the "main" characters like Amaru and Sakura, but it was still decent to watch. It didn't make me want to rip my eyeballs out like Naruto movies 1-3 (I really liked the 4th movie ;D).

I was actually under the impression that there would be more Sasuke in this movie. I mean, come on, he barely gets any air-time nowadays, and the episodes when he is SUPPOSED to be killing Orochimaru are being stalled with fillers. Not only that, they failed to put him in from movies 1-3 (1 does not count at all. What did he say, 3 lines maybe?) The least they could have done was not use him so much in the trailer and make it seem like it was all about him and Naruto (that's what it seemed like to me anyways)

And who KNEW that Shinou would turn out to be the bad guy? I knew it from the second they introduced him -_- Not only did he LOOK like the type of character they would use for a villian, but the whole "doctor" thing did not fly with me. They need to be more creative with the characters. If Amaru was the antagonist in this movie, THEN I would have been surprised xD (It might not have worked then)

Overall, I would give this Naruto movie a 4/5. The reason is because there was not enough Sasuke (typical fangirl excuse) and that the storyline was a little "wooh". I got sort of lost (maybe I'm just dumb...?)

LONG LIVE SHIRTLESS ANIME BOYS! *is shot*

Oh... and a sixth Naruto movie already? Ohhhh boy. I'm going to have to wait another year for the sub, at least. Oh mighty God, if Karin turns out to be in that movie, I'm going to have to seriously round-house kick someone >_>

Blame the Economy!

Alright, so everyone I'm sure knows about how much of a pickle the world's economy is in right? And I'm sure that everyone has some problems that are not related to the economy, and want them solved right?

I've come up with the most simple solution to ALL those problems.

Blame the economy! After all, we blame the economy on everything else don't we? We use it as an excuse not to spend money (and that my friends is called a recession, which just makes the economy WORST), and now we can use it as an excuse for everything else.

For example, "Your new shirt is wrecked? I blame the economy!" or "I can't even find this post in your world, ChibiSasuke! I blame the economy!"

After a while I think it might just catch on. I mean, we already have a list of stupid excuses we can use, why not add one more? It can be valid in most cases.

In the end, the economy is what makes our world go CRASH BOOM. So go ahead! Say it aloud! (Most) people will understand what you're getting at!

Make sure the next time your teacher asks why you haven't finished your homework assignment that was due 3 weeks ago, you blame the economy.

Onigiri, onigiri, onigiri all the time!~

In fashions class I decided to make a pillow. BUT, this isn't just an ordinary pillow my friends...

Yes, it is an onigiri pillow! And I've decided to teach you how to make your very own!

Materials Needed:
• White Fabric, Black Fabric, Pink Fabric *optional*, any other solid color fabric (Try to get the softer kinds)
• Fabric Glue
• Sewing Machine OR Sewing Needle
• White Thread (and bobbin, if you are using a sewing machine)
• Something to stuff the pillow (ex. polyester fill)
• Sewing Pins *optional*
• Scissors
• Pencil, Pen, or Marker

What To Do:
1. Fold your white fabric so that the good sides are together. Draw and cut out the onigiri shape. If you can, make sure to pin it so that the two pieces are even.

2. Now, using the black fabric, draw out some eyes (however you would like) and cut them out. You can use black for the mouth, or pink. Whichever you prefer. Take the good sides of the fabric and choose one to be the face. Glue the eyes and mouth onto the fabric. Remember, when you glue the expression on to use the side that will be facing on the outside!

3. Once you are finished pasting the expression on the front, move to the other piece of fabric. On the good side, glue a square of any colored solid fabric. This is the umeboshi.

4. Place the two good sides together (so that the umeboshi and front are facing eachother). You can now begin to sew your onigiri together. I used a sewing machine for mine, and because I didn't keep the stitch very even it ended up a little bumpy around the edges. To avoid that, sew by hand if you aren't good at keeping the stitches straight and even. Also, remember to leave a spot to stuff your onigiri! (so at least 3-5 fingers can fit inside, depending on the size of your pillow)

5. You're almost done! Stuff your onigiri to your liking, and use an inside-outside stitch to sew the final hole.
*NOTE: Avoid using materials like old fabric to stuff your pillows (another reason why mine is bumpy). It makes it harder and not as round, and can cause an unusually strange looking onigiri.

And you're done! Those were the five simple steps to making an onigiri plushie! Experiment with it and show your friends! Once you're good, try to add things like cute ears and tails, or personalize it by stitching your name on it!

Good luck! :3
