Next Week's Departure

So it's coming next week, my 16 day vacation to the far east, to the land of many islands, thousands of islands. I'm anticipating hot muggy weather just in time for the rainy season. People tell me it's in June and others have told me it's in May, so I'm not really sure. I think I'll just say it happens around this time.

Baguio's big on barrelmen. I wonder why. They tell me to watch out for that.

Anyway, in other news, I submitted a couple of fanart in the drafts section. Yes it was an explosion of artwork, but I think it stopped now. My inspiration juice needs to refuel itself =P

Oh yeah, my finger, which I've described previously, is better now thanks to neosporin. It's good as new! It's almost hard to believe that it had been cut that deep, but that's just saying that it was a flesh wound and not bone. That is a BIG relief...

Hmm, what else? I went to jury duty yesterday, and instead of rescheduling (like I did last time at the beginning of the year), I decided to complete the day so that I wouldn't have to be called again for the next year or so. I'm not gonna lie to you, I really hate sitting there and waiting. I know they attempt to boost your motivation by expressing their gratitude and appreciation....but mehhhhh. I always get bored, and the old guy in orientation always ALWAYS tells the same stories.

I know, I should be proud to be serving as a juror since it's my civil duty, but I'm gonna skip the formalities and honestly say that I just don't like it, because the wait is boring. Well I brought my notebooks to write and sketch, but I still got bored (and plus I didn't want people looking over my shoulder). Eventually, I was called twice, but I was excused from both picking sessions since I'm going on vacation.

In a way, I felt like I accomplished something yesterday, so I guess I still win in the end.
