Voice-Over Voice-Actor

''Voice-Over Voice-Actor'' is written by voice actors, Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt. Taken from site: ''Interested in pursuing a career in VO? Curious what goes on behind the scenes in a business where people talk funny for money? This book offers a fun and comprehensive look at what it takes, what goes on and what it’s like behind the mic from two working pros who started from scratch.''
Buy it clean or autographed, it's still the same price. I was very excited when I got my copy. It's a comprehensible book and does not make you want to sleep. I thought it was insightful and there were things I already knew beforehand due to the fact I do my research.
Some chapters include:
-So, what is VO anyway?
-You really want the job, but which one?
-Finding your voice
-Before you get to your audition
-The audition itself
-The booth
-The studio
-Your home booth
There are also quotes, glossary, and reference just to name a few things that aren't part of the chapters. The book should be used as a guide and is the purpose of it is to provide info [educate] and entertain. There may be mistakes considering things change.
