12/1/2009 - My Computer Crashed. Everything Is Gone.

I lost my computer and everything on it. All the pictures I scanned and vectored are destroyed so I have to start over. But that's ok. I have something new and I hope it'll be better. But to make up for lost time because all of my art accounts have been dead for a while, I will be submitting pictures instead of comics for now.

I've been dealing with apathy for a while and I'm trying to get over it. So my latest picture displayed the feeling I had at the time.

My submission is awaiting approval right now on theOtaku.

8/15/2009 - I was gone for so long ; ^ ; )

Long time no see. I'm back now. I was gone the past months because my grades dropped to 60. I had to take charge of my time and give up the internet and video games til my summer courses were over. I finally got past them and I feel good again (grades went back up too).

So now, I'm going to finish my work on that comic book and submit many art. I apologize for the long wait and for vanishing like I did. And I couldn't enter the villain contest either, but I will still complete and submit that submission. I'll give it my best.

6/15/2009 - 1st chapter coming soon

Something came up over the weeked. But 1st chapter should be up this week. I could put it up now but a picture for the cover and the chapter hasn't been made yet. And there are still a few chapter pics that need a little touch-up.

i'm kinda shy about all this. Some parts are hard to draw and I didn't use a reference. By 2nd chapter I should have more time to find reference photos of scenery and such 1st. But we'll see.

For warnings though, the art is really sketchy. So I'll do my best to draw in a way that people can tell what's what.

In terms of age rating, it may be for teens but I don't know.
While the leading characters are very young, I am pretty confident that the comic will have a lot of violence and scary themes. D: I've never made a horror genre book before and I'm not sure if that's the kind of genre it is. I don't think it is.

I'm unsure about these kinds of things because there's a lot of different stuff that are just thrown in. I suppose the 1st chapter will have to be more of an experiment. For those who read it, I might have to depend on their opinion on what they "think" the book is and go from there. That and some of my own research on ratings over the net.

6/11/2009 - How It's Going

:) I'm almost done with first chapter of the remade "Luminous Saga". I put completing it on hold for a while because I wanted to finish my entry for the villain's contest.
I drew the picture and I am in the process of vectoring. I tried to be as creative as possible and there are 4 characters that take up the picture.
The leading villain is.. "colorful" to say the least.

Going back to the comic, when I'm into something I can work pretty fast... and then slow down a short while afterward due to low stamina.

But nonetheless, it's the 1st chapter. I may be able to have it up today or the next day or in the next few days- depends on what happens. Nonetheless, expect it soon. And thanks again for the support.

6/1/2009 - Submitted New Entry / Villain OC Contest / Story Progress

Finally, I Submitted A New Entry

I've been working on that piece of work for a long time on my image editor (Adobe Photoshop) It was drawn/sketched in pencil on paper first. Then I scanned it and vectored/colored it (which took the most time ontop of homework and exams). Besides the fact that it was work and tiring of course, I had a lot of fun working on it. And so, I will start yet another one. One that's a bit more than a facial portrait position of the character. Might take some time. ;

Villain OC Contest

I've decided to participate in a "villain designing" contest that's being run by Clozimodo. If you're interested in taking a look at it, here's a link.

It looks like a lot of fun so I'm going to be busy making an artwork for it. ^^
The reason it interests me?
Well it's a challenge. And I've made villains before (course I'll be designing a new one). I feel this will benefit to test the process of how I can make new and unique characters. So I'll do my best. :)

Story Progress

I know it's a hassle to have me change the storyline so many times.
But I just want to start something I know I can finish.
Not begin with something and then get stuck saying "I don't know what to do." or "I don't feel like it anymore." I've been down that road many times in my younger days when I was still a beginner in drawing in general. I used to try and make characters and little comics of my own but I always got bored of my work. It wasn't pretty. Knowing you can start something but never finish it. So I want to be positive that I (at least for now) have the feeling that if I started this comic that I, myself, would like it so much that I can bypass the hardships of making it and actually finish it.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, my new story is.. well it might be awkward. Maybe not. (I'm blabbing) I don't wanna say much about it yet because I need to double-check and be sure of everything 1st. I'll see if I can put up some scenic sketches that can better describe the theme and setting of the story. But it's exam season! So I make no promises.

I have been and will be working on the comic though with time I have. That's a definite.

Ok, details. Details.
The story has a singer. It has bullies. It has guns (or maybe science fictional lazers and bombs). It has... a girl as the lead (as planned in my previous comic project). It has a mix of past, present, and future. And a mix of realism and fantasy. And it has a certain "structure" to it? I can't give out more than that. But if this keeps you interested then I'm glad. I'll do my best to get it done as well as make it through my exams "alive".
