Hi guys! Here's a couple more concept sketches of the 3 other main characters from my new story. :)
The top picture is the first drawing I did for this story. The guy with the wings is the inventor guy. I've decided to name him Felix Stieber for the time being. :V Yeah, he looks like Rick right now... I need to fix that. xD
Felix is a meek and somewhat sickly fellow whose talents are mathematics and inventing. He gets his income by inventing items commissioned by the townspeople. He also helps with automotive studies, such as building off of the latest trains and cars. Moreover, he uses his inventing skills for helping himself around the house when his physical weakness gets in the way of his productivity. Despite his skills in the sciences, he envies people with lyrical creativity.
On Felix's lap in the bottom picture is his robot "daughter":
BECAUSE WHAT STORY IS COMPLETE WITHOUT A ROBOT. (?) Also, I can't draw top hats. She doesn't have a name yet. Suggestions anyone? :D)
Felix's daughter is kind of just a stock character right now. The ever curious, naive, but completely adorable child! I'm still trying to figure out exactly what kind of character she is. She becomes a fast friend of Chiminey's.
As it says in the above picture, Felix's daughter was crated in the image of Ms. Layla:
I don't see the resemblence OKAY, WELL. If it was in color, you would be able to see more easily.
Ms. Layla is Felix's love interest who has little to no romantic interest in him. A lot of the reason Felix wants to learn to write well is to woo Ms. Layla, who wants to marry a famous author/poet. And... yeah. Her name comes from this song by Eric Clapton. 8D;
Designing her outfit was bothersome. orz Even now, I'm not 100% sure about it. But for the most part, I like it. ;u; Her collar is huge, though. Apparently, one's wealth is directly proportional to the size of their collar. A lot of her design was based off of Sophie's Mom from Howl's Moving Castle, though. xD;;;;;;;; As you can see in this fake screenshot that I traced...

And that's all the characters I have right now. :V I'll probably need a design for Chiminey's dad. I'm still trying to figure out these characters, too... we'll see if I actually get this anywhere. I don't know if I'll make a comic at this point. I'm not sure. xD; Anyways, thanks for reading! c:
