Anime Convention Day 2

Ok so I finally get to write this even though I'm STILL lacking sleep...Here goes!

Organizing? Sucked even worse. They kept thwarting us at every move...You'd think that after five years of organizing this thing they would've learned a thing or two, but apparently they didn't.

Everything else? SUPERB! I met lots of new and awesome people and had a lot of fun, which was the ultimate goal. We performed our short play ( despite having to improvise at the last minute because of the people I wrote about above ^ ) and the crowd loved us and we loved them just as much. Before we went out there we were nervous and kept tripping on our lines but once we stepped out there and the audience cheered and applauded us, it all went away. Nervousness, anxiety, poof! All gone. It was an amazing moment for both of us since we had both been in acting groups before. The feeling of being on stage again? Indescribable.

I admit, at first we were so disappointed by the organizers that we said we weren't coming again next year. But after Sunday, that changed completely. The people we found there surprised us in a good way and we realized what our true goal had been all along. Everyone was so nice and friendly that it was almost unbelievable. And the cosplayers...I'm speechless there. Every single one of them worked hard for their costumes and plays and put a lot of effort into their representations. And every single one of them had superb performances. Even though not all of them were awarded, they deserved every bit of applause and respect they got.

Am I going back next year? Of course I am ;)

Anime Convention Day 1

Well I got home from the first day of Nijikon 2010. Aaaaaaand when I got home after it I wasn't so thrilled...The organizing sucked badly. And I was honestly disappointed. But then I remembered what I was there for, and what I said before I got there...And I realized it was the best day ever. Why? Because the anime community was awesome. People came up to us and asked us "Hey can I take a photo with you?" "Can I hug you?" and the smiles on their faces, their sincere thanks and their reactions just made my day. I got three hugs from a Sasori, who whined wanting a hug every time she saw me, two girls wanted photos with me TWICE and even gave me a muffin after the second time (yay for the sugar lover! xD) and at one point when I was having a photo taken with two other characters a whole crowd of people came in with cameras and started taking photos. Those are moments I will never forget.

Tomorrow we have the short plays. And this time, I won't care about the organizers or all that bullshit. I'm going out there to make people smile, to meet them and talk to them. Because at the end of the day...I'm happy :)

Happy day

YES, it was a VERY happy day! Today I celebrated my 20th birthday, though most of it wasn't really that happy. I was greeted in the morning with a lot of wishes and gifts from my friends. Afterwards was the lame part. I spent most of the day with my relatives at my grandmother's house, with whom I share my birthday (and let me tell you people could easily mistake us for Italians...) which wasn't so entertaining...Like every year, my relatives either forgot, or pretended to forget it was also my birthday, so yeah I got a big nil from them. And what itches me is that a cousin of my grandmother's, who's not technically part of the family, ALWAYS remembers my birthday and brings me gifts. And I got ignored for the most part of 6 hours...And no, there was no cake for the sugar lover *me*

But to hell with that...

There's a saying...We can't choose our family, so God gave us friends. I came home, dragging my feet, I opened the computer and got greeted with another wave of wishes and gifts from my friends. Friends I love from the bottom of my heart and who made my day a little brighter. I hope you're all smiling on my birthday, got it?? *threateningly points at TheO community* Because nothing would please me more *smiles* I wanna thank all my friends, be they right beside me or far away. I care for you all and wish you have a great day. I also want to thank TheOtaku for being such a wonderful community. I've met some of my best friends here and I've never been happier to share my work with other wonderful artists. To all of you reading this, thank you and if I could hug you for real, trust me I would, but for now you'll have to do with a virtual hug ^^

Remember, have fun and keep smiling ^^

Hey again

It's been a while since I've written so here I am again ^^ Here's a new video for you. It's the newest song from one of my favorite Romanian bands called Sistem. The song is an awesome cover after a Depeche Mode hit. I love it so I thought I'd share it with you guys as well. Enjoy.

Ok, so I've been going through a nasty period lately, but tonight it reached its peak. I was so angry I felt like blowing up. Fortunately, because of a very special person to me, that didn't happen. So thank you, Kira, you're a most precious friend who's there for me when I need it most. Thank you to all my friends, who are there for me when I need them. I love you all with all my heart.

Since I woke up in a very good mood, I thought I'd take my camera along (I've picked up the habit of taking pictures of the sky) and lucky thing I did because I caught this little critter in an image. I hope I didn't scare the insectophobics ^////^ I just can't help myself, I love dragonflies. If you do too, enjoy.

Remember, have fun and keep smiling
