Hey, Die Before I Wake here. I made this world, The War on Cruelty, for people who love animals and are sick of the abuse, neglect, fighting, etc. of innocent animals. Cruelty is not limited to the beating, starving, etc. of domestic animals. It also extends to the capture, harming, and murder of wild species, too, as well as destroying the only homes they've known.

Here, I will post my own, and club members' stories, drawings, poems, videos, slideshows, images, essays, songs, etc. pertaining to any way of animal mistreatment. I will also put up updates of specials on National Geographic, Animal Planet, etc., in case anyone's interested. I'll also soon have links and buttons up to sites where you can donate to help our furry, scaly, skin-covered, and feathered friends and their homes by either sponsoring, or by buying stuff from their shops.

I'll frequently be changing layouts, updating, and adding members, so message me if you want to join to submit things, or simply look for something good to watch on TV. Or, even to find inspiring videos, poems, etc. that you may wish to repost onto your own world!

Things you as members can do:
1. Submit a story.
2. Enter contests when I'm not too lazy to have them. XP
3. Submit a photo of your pet. Send me a lovely link to a photo hosting place and I'll put it up.
4. Submit art, poems, songs, videos. Once again, PM them to me, or email them to me. The club email address is below the "lovely" banners.

Then, copy and paste the code into wordpad, notepad, or any other word document, take the spaces out from in between the brackets, and then copy and paste the image URL where it says to. Who's Ready for a CONTEST?!

Well, out of boredom, I've decided to hold a contest.

Pet Photography Contest

This is pretty simple. Set up or use an old picture of any of your pets. They can include a caption, if you wish. Be creative! Your pet can be dressed up, sleeping, in a trick pose, anything. But keep it appropriate. No dog shirts from Spencer's or anything like that.

Rules:

1. Only ONE entry per pet. This means that if you have more than one pet, they can all get in on the contest.

2. All entries are to be PMed to me, no links in comments. That way, the voting is completely random. I will number the pictures in the final group image

3. Deadline is: September 30th.

4. Fill in the Submission Sheet. It will be posted below the rules.

5. If you are adding a caption, it MUST be appropriate.

6. Only one pet per photo. No group shots.

2nd - Your pet will be featured as well in the intro for a month. You'll get two animations of your picture.

3rd - Your pet will be featured for a month as well. You'll get an animation of the picture.

In all fairness, each person can only win once. In the event of a tie, names will be drawn from a hat.

Hockey Mom Versus Pit Bulls

Okay, I haven't updated this in a loooong time, it feels like, so I'm just posting anything, really...

My American Cultures teacher is a big fan of that Sarah Palin(sp?) or whatever her name is vice president chick. He doesn't shut up about her. And the thing that really pisses me off is the constant reference joke she made that he always uses...

"What's the difference between a hockey mom and a Pit Bull?" (<- Improper breed title. Slight pet peeve I have.) "I'm wearing lipstick."

The thing that bothers me is that she, like many other people, imply that American Pit Bull Terriers and related breeds are these vicious, bloodthirsty monsters. People like her are why so many American Pit Bull Terriers, American and English Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terriers, etc. are being euthanized upon entry to animal shelters, fought or loved, without a second chance. That really ticks me off.

But the funny thing is, she was really saying "I'm a big Teddy Bear!". You see, American Pit Bull Terriers scored higher on the temperament test then German Shepherds, Border Collies, and even Beagles. So, I don't think I should make any extremely bad comments about her. I think she's humiliated herself enough... -imagines how funny a Teddy Bear looks in lipstick-

So.... Sorry if I kinda said anything mean about your favourite candidate's vice pres. I'm not really for either, I don't get involved.

New Layout/Video
