Last Day - 2D

This was my final for Intro to Animation. I was going to rotoscope the entire thing but changed my mind about two weeks in, leaving me with only three weeks to do this. So, it's pretty rough and I should change a lot of things. I got permission from the artist (Ari Herstand, check him out) to use it. And yes, that is me and my dad and it's about me going away to college.

Humans are Products - 2D

First time synching to sound. The teacher made the sound clip and I had to animate to it. It was extremely difficult feeling excited about this one. I made up a message behind it just to keep me interested in it. I started thinking what 'the product' the man mentions at the end and then I thought of humans and how we are all products for companies, for each other, for well, everything. We're a product of the world, of our parents, of our society, our region.

Note: This is NOT a pro-life/pro-choice video. I already know that the fetus will immediately spark that train of thought - but no. It's simply illustrating a way that we are all connected. Nothing more, nothing less.

Walk Cycle - 2D

This took about three weeks. The character is hand drawn, then colored digitally while the background is gouache and watercolor. I did a mathmatical approach to when hands and legs would hit the ground. I wanted to have a very pronounced, heavy walk.

Half a Heart - Claymation

This is my very first animation. It ended up being a claymation for my Media I class.
