Rules

Rules are largely the same, with a few minor changes (in bold).

  • This countdown is only for openings and endings of anime. Other songs featured within the anime do not count.
  • The number of items on your countdown list must be a multiple of 5, with no maximum.
  • You will be posting your countdowns in fifths over the course of five days. For example, if you have 10 items on your countdown, you will post two on each day.
  • Up to three honorable mentions are allowed.
  • You are only allowed one post. Use breaks to spread your post out onto several pages.
  • Please title your post, "[Your full username]'s Top [number] Countdown".
  • Posting videos are highly encouraged! Approved sites include Youtube, Vimeo, and Themes.moe. Please limit to only these sites. You can post the TV version, full-length song, music video, or any combination.
  • Only one opening and one ending maximum per series, please. A short-running series with two or more seasons count as one series. A long-running series with a short-running sequel counts as one series. Due to the large number of openings and endings, a long-running series with a long-running sequel counts as two series (So Noragami + Aragato is 1 series, D.Gray-Man + D.Gray-Man Hallow is 1 series, Naruto + Shippuden is 2 series). A reboot also counts as a separate series.
  • You don't have to have finished or even seen the anime to include the opening/ending in your countdown. You just have to like the song/animation.
  • If you like an opening from a series, but not an ending (or vice versa) you can include one without the other.
  • In each entry, you must include the anime's title.
  • Include one or more of the following: what number opening or ending it is (example: OP #3), the song name, and/or the artist. Please be consistent with this, so if you include, say, the artist's name for one entry, you must include it for them all.
  • Dub openings/endings are allowed.
  • Give a description of why you like the opening/ending. It can be as short or as long as you like.
  • Do your best to write it well. I'm not asking for a perfect paragraph, but please don't use chatspeak, and be careful about your apostrophes and periods. If English is not your first language, don't be discouraged. You're probably better at it than you think. You're certainly better at writing in English than I am at writing in your first language!
  • Keep spoilers to a minimum! Don't forget to use spoiler tags.
