Hello, and welcome to the updates page for the Tokyo Mew Mew fan comic, Tokyo Mew Mew ala Carte.
I created it quite a while ago and reposted it on this site after I found a way to tone it digitally. Hopefully, you'll be able to have as much fun reading it as I do creating it.
Here is a basic plot overveiw so you'll have an idea of what you're getting if you didn't already. If you have not finished the series, be careful of the spoilers.
It's about a year after the major string of battles. The evildoers are gone and everything is back to normal...or so it seems. For some reason, the Mew Mews still have their powers. Even Masaya regains his ability to become the Blue Knight. However there doesn't seem to be a reason to fight...
Then the attacks start. Animals are being taken from zoos and pet shops, only to be found later at the same establishment with strange markings on their bodies.
When Ryou beigins to have his suspicions about it, the attacks suddenly stop. He does some research and is shocked to discovers omeone is trying to copy the Mew Mew Project, but in reverse. They're injecting animals with the cloned DNA of the original Mew Mews. If they manage to get the right combination of DNA, they could create a team of opponents with exactly the same abilties as the original Mew Mews.
If they suceed, the world will be once again in need of defense..only this time it will be even harder...
