Welcome my little corner of the Otaku!

Thoughts and Impressions is where I record the wonderful adventure that is life

.
Here's my little bio :)
Animation has always been fascinating to me, I never quite grew out of cartoons. I actually like and watch American cartoons more than anime, but Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, any film made by Miyazaki, and Tekkon Kinkreet redeem the genre. As for manga, I only love and collect two series: Hana-Kimi and Rurouni Kenshin.
There are so many American cartoons I love! Family Guy, Venture Bros, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Danny Phantom, Teen Titans, Invader Zim, X-Men Evolution, Tom and Jerry, and Robot Chicken.
Then there's the whole list of animated movies! Treasure Planet, Road to El Dorado, The Chipmunk Adventure, anything Don Bluth (especially Rockadoodle and Thumbelina), most classic Disney movies, The Iron Giant, The Paigemaster, Persepolis, The Incredibles, and so many others!
As for non-animation some favorite TV shows are: The Office, Scrubs, Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Firefly, Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Batman (1966 Adam West), Red Dwarf, The Red Green Show, and BBC Robin Hood.
Of course, there's movies too: Muppet Treasure Island, any version of Treasure Island ever, anything Jane Austen, Secondhand Lions, Death at a Funeral, Noises Off, Newsies, Singin in the Rain, Dr. Phibes, Stargate, Star Wars (ep.4-6), Psycho, and so much more.
My favorite Asain drama right now is Young Warriors of the Yang Clan

In case you were wondering, yes I do have a life outside of watching TV and movies. I am a sophomore in college and a theatre major. Some of my favorite plays are The Rehearsal, Titus Andronicus, August: Osage County, All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, The Producers, The Big Bang Theory, Doubt, and Proof. I find time for reading as well, and I love The Artemis Fowl Series, Treasure Island, anything Jane Austen, Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, and Jekyll and Hyde.
When I am not reading, drawing, or being hypnotized by the TV, I am out gallivanting with my friends, spending time with my twin, antiquing/thrifting, doing homework, at rehearsal, going to the nearest Jane Austen Society meeting, being with my wonderful family, daydreaming, drinking green tea (which I love immensely), taking pictures, wasting my life away on the internet, playing arcade games, and traveling.
Random: My two favorite superheroes are Batman and Spiderman. Nightcrawler, Wolverine, and Gambit are my favorite X-Men. Celebrity crushes are Hugh Jackman, J J Feild, Harry Lloyd, Fahrenheit members, Christian Bale and Sean Patrick Flanery. My favorite spoof is Yu Gi Oh: The Abridged Series.

Art Trades and Requests

....are miss/hit with me. It honestly depends on how busy I am. Please forgive me if I forget and PM me with reminders so I'll remember.
If you want a request, most anything from any of the lists above will do.

Alas Poor Yorrik! I knew him.... IN AMERICA!!!!

Posting and Weekend

Hello All!
I just wanted to say that I got a fan art up just now. It's Jiro Wang of Fahrenheit, so I hope that you check it out. F.Y.I. Jiro is really hot, so you can look him up too ^-^.
So in other news, I just got back home from our family cabin. Family as in my mom's side of the family. Yup, so our immediate family, minus my dad who was hunting, and our grandparents and my one cousin's family all went up there to celebrate birthdays. It was actually my two cousin's birthdays but the other one couldn't make it, so we only had the birthday girl (21 years!) to celebrate for. Anyway, it was sooooo much fun to just go out and enjoy the mountain air and then come back and do nothing alllll day! I got a lot of napping in and we had a lot of family togetherness which I am always up for. ^-^.
So school wise, I got casted in my college's J-term play, so I suppose I'll be doing that. For those of you who don't know, J-Term is the last few weeks of winter break where instead of taking off those weeks, you come back and take on class. The theatre class is theatre for young audiences, cuz the play is a children's play. Basically, that class is just coming in a working on the play all day. So it'll be an experience. I hope that I'll enjoy it, I might as well.
So there's my life in a very small nutshell right now! I hope you all have an awesome week and I'll try and check up an all of you guys later ^-^.
here's proof that pigeons are evil lol.

The Past Two Weeks 0.o

Wow it has been quite a while since I updated on this site!
Well, I got to go home for the past few weekends, which was like a breath of fresh air. I got to see my cousins for their birthday party, even though it's wasn't technically their birthdays. So seeing the family was a lot of fun. I also got to visit my friend's school and my sister's school They had a homecoming parade and my sister was in the float. It was pretty cute, all of the floats were themed after popular board games. ^-^. I got candy, it was a lot of fun.
Yup so my life at school has been going okay. I haven't had a super huge load of work so far, so I've had more relax time, which is very important for my sanity lol. Sad to say though that I haven't had much time for art. My sis and I are drawing a huge Avatar: The Last Airbender poster for my brother this year. Since it's currently in my dorm, I'm the one who gets pestered to work on it. Finally I got some inspiration. However, I really want to draw my fav. band, Fahrenheit, for Otaku as my Halloween pic. I have some cool ideas, so be looking out for that one.
As for more campus life I've been going to the anime club here. It's okay, we're watching wolfs reign and genkinshien (sry i cant spell or say it). Wolf's Reign is actually kind of interesting. Genkeinshin on the other hand is really really boring. I keep watching it under some delusion that it could possibly get interesting, but no dice. I don't recommend this anime to any one.
so that's all folks ^-^

It's Friday! Huzzah!

Hey all!
Well, I was able to get another fan art up, and it looks like a lot of people liked it, so that makes me happy. ^-^. It really wasn't my favorite though, I wish I could have made the outline a little darker on photoshop an then it would have turned out 10 times better. oh well. I still really love the hair, that's why I drew the pic, after all. So I should be posting another fan art in a little bit called "Ophelia's Ghost". Yes, it is related to Hamlet. We had to read that play for one of my classes and I really enjoyed going over it. So I did a little fan art about, surprise surprise, the ghost of the suicidal Ophelia. yea, so keep an eye out for that one.
So I get to go home again this weekend, which I am super siked about ^-^!!!!! My sister is in her school's homecoming parade and it's my cousins/moms birthday party. I really can't wait.
Oh yes, I got my first Otaku gift, which I am really happy about, except that I don't know how to get it. The stupid computer won't let me! but, I'll keep trying! Thank you so much Gadriann, I'm so happy ^-^.
okay so that's all I have for now.

Back in Black

It's my first day back from fall break. I wish it could have lasted another week! My sis and I got to see a lot of family members and hang out with our good high school friends who go to different colleges now. That was a lot of fun. We went up to Millersville University where my one friend goes. There was a Boys LIke Girls concert going on but we didn't go to that. Instead we just hung out and the went to see The Duchess at The Allen theater. I really enjoyed it, especially the costumes! But if you go into it expecting a fairy-tale love story or a strong character that changes society story, then you probably won't like it. The movie depicts real life back then and what it was like for a lot of women in that position. So it's only semi-happy in the end. However I've seen a lot of asian movies and animes that ended a lot worse happy-wise, so it didn't bother me lol.
Yea so I didn't get a lot of things drawn over break because I was just too busy. It was sort of disheartening because I really wanted to get a lot of ICC pages drawn. Oh well. They'll get posted when they get posted I guess. I did do a re-do of 2 really old twin characters that I drew a lot a long time ago, so maybe I'll get that one up by tomorrow.
So now I need to memorize a scene for one of my theatre classes, I've been putting that off for a while lol. I'll try and catch up with you guys though ^-^.
heres a roflrazzi pic that made me laugh.

My Week at a Glance

Well, its the first time in a while that I've had to sit down and type out a post! My play is almost over, we just have tonight and tomorrow night, but we're all sold out ^-^. It's so much fun, it'll be bittersweet when it's over. On one hand, I'll actually have time again. On the other hand, I'll miss all my fellow cast members.
Anyway, this week is FALL BREAK!!!! So hopefully you'll be seeing more ICC pages up soon. I actually have like 2 of them done, but I want to have a lot to post in a row. It's annoying to have just one new page to read, no? So I'll let you know when I post those.
AAAnnnnddd speaking of posting, I just got a fan art up so please check it out ^-^. Yea, that one was a sort of on-the-fly pic, but it turned out good.
Okay, so I have letters to read and a meeting to go to. I'll try to check up on all of you later!
umm..heres a funny roflrazzi pic. roflrazzi is icanhascheezburger's sister site.
