Welcome my little corner of the Otaku!

Thoughts and Impressions is where I record the wonderful adventure that is life

.
Here's my little bio :)
Animation has always been fascinating to me, I never quite grew out of cartoons. I actually like and watch American cartoons more than anime, but Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, any film made by Miyazaki, and Tekkon Kinkreet redeem the genre. As for manga, I only love and collect two series: Hana-Kimi and Rurouni Kenshin.
There are so many American cartoons I love! Family Guy, Venture Bros, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Danny Phantom, Teen Titans, Invader Zim, X-Men Evolution, Tom and Jerry, and Robot Chicken.
Then there's the whole list of animated movies! Treasure Planet, Road to El Dorado, The Chipmunk Adventure, anything Don Bluth (especially Rockadoodle and Thumbelina), most classic Disney movies, The Iron Giant, The Paigemaster, Persepolis, The Incredibles, and so many others!
As for non-animation some favorite TV shows are: The Office, Scrubs, Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Firefly, Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Batman (1966 Adam West), Red Dwarf, The Red Green Show, and BBC Robin Hood.
Of course, there's movies too: Muppet Treasure Island, any version of Treasure Island ever, anything Jane Austen, Secondhand Lions, Death at a Funeral, Noises Off, Newsies, Singin in the Rain, Dr. Phibes, Stargate, Star Wars (ep.4-6), Psycho, and so much more.
My favorite Asain drama right now is Young Warriors of the Yang Clan

In case you were wondering, yes I do have a life outside of watching TV and movies. I am a sophomore in college and a theatre major. Some of my favorite plays are The Rehearsal, Titus Andronicus, August: Osage County, All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, The Producers, The Big Bang Theory, Doubt, and Proof. I find time for reading as well, and I love The Artemis Fowl Series, Treasure Island, anything Jane Austen, Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, and Jekyll and Hyde.
When I am not reading, drawing, or being hypnotized by the TV, I am out gallivanting with my friends, spending time with my twin, antiquing/thrifting, doing homework, at rehearsal, going to the nearest Jane Austen Society meeting, being with my wonderful family, daydreaming, drinking green tea (which I love immensely), taking pictures, wasting my life away on the internet, playing arcade games, and traveling.
Random: My two favorite superheroes are Batman and Spiderman. Nightcrawler, Wolverine, and Gambit are my favorite X-Men. Celebrity crushes are Hugh Jackman, J J Feild, Harry Lloyd, Fahrenheit members, Christian Bale and Sean Patrick Flanery. My favorite spoof is Yu Gi Oh: The Abridged Series.

i need to post so i can see my new style.

The Wands and the Wings

Okay, so I'm doing an update on my Christmas break. It's been a really relaxing past week and a half. It's so nice to not have anything to do for once, I'll be sort of sad to see that go. However, I do get pretty bored sometimes, so it will be nice to go back to college and have something to preoccupy my time 24/7. Yup so we went down to DE for a little winter vacation with my mom, aunt, cousin, sister, and our dogs. That was really relaxing! And surprisingly, I wasn't all that bored. WE did a lot of shopping on the main avenue and then at the outlet which were a little more inland. I got a lot of cool stuff. I got a little tea kit half price! Yes! It has a wooden tray, cream and sugar bowl, teacup with a lid for seeping convenience, a tray for the used tea bag, and like 10 sampler teas. It's so awesome! And then we went to a nearby beach to tour around the old historic section of it. It is the first town established in DE, so there were a lot of cool old houses. Yup and yesterday we had the whole family over for hogmaugh ( i think that's how you spell it). If any of you don't know what that is, it's stuffed pigs stomach. It's the best food in the world!! mmmmmmm. Yup so now I'm waiting for a few t-shirts that i ordered online to come. They're supposed to come today!!!!
Ah yes, as far as art goes, I didn't bring my scanner home so I can't really get more stuff scanned and posted. That has to be done when I get back to school. But I am drawing stuff! I assure you! So that's up.

have fun otaku-ing!

The Root Goes Down and the Plant Goes Up

Well, In the past month or so since I last posted, I've been pretty busy. Mostly because I actually have some good friends now, so I've been staying up late almost every night having a lot of fun. We've had a few game nights and it's been delightful. I'm almost sad that I'll be going home, but not quite. ^-^.
Also, I discovered the band Gorillaz in the past few weeks, and have become rather obsessed with their music videos. Perhaps I should invest in a DVD, because I can't find a god torrent for al their videos and shorts. Anyone have any suggestions?
So in other news, GOKU SAYONARA ZETSUBOU SENSEI IS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD!!!!!!! ZETSUBOUSHITA!!!! ^-^. The theme song is awesome, it's like all of the other theme songs on acid. And the first episode rocks, my sis and I got a giggle and a chuckle out of it.
And in other other news, I celebrated Jane Austen's birthday this year, which by the way, is December 16th. It was so much fun! We dressed up in our regency garb and went to this amazing little tea house with the JAne Austen Society. Even though I had a tart for dinner, it was still a great joy to take part in the celebration.
So I also posted a fan art. It's one of my little monsters: The Holiday Halloween. Please check it out!
Yup, so I have to take my LAST FINAL now and then I'm blowing this joint!

The Tea to the Cup

Well, I'm experimenting with new styles...I uploaded a new pic of me and my twin. I like her outfit a lot more than mine though. Yup, so I don't have much to say. How was every ones thanksgiving? Mine was nice and relaxing, now I'm thrown back into the school life, but that's kay cuz I get to see all of my friends again ^-^. I really love all of them, theatre people are so fun ^-^.

Have fun otaku-ing!

ah yes, as to the title of this post, I managed to break two teacups in one clumsy drop. sigh. One was so awesome and the other was a present from a friend and oh so pretty...man. I hate being clumsy sometimes. .

And That's the way the Cookie Crumbles

Hello All!
Well, I managed to post a fan art! I've been working on it while watching the play. So I guess I haven't really been watching it at all ^-^. Hey, you wouldn't want to watch a Checkov play 8 times too! Anywhoo, I have another fan art on the way. Ying and Yang. I actually tried coloring it once, but it really didn't work out, so I'm starting over.
Yea, so life has been busy. The prof.s are trying to fit in a lot before break, and I'm trying to get ahead on it he work so I don't have anything to do. I'll probably have to do that anyway...sigh. Hey, at least it's the last day I have to be House Manager for this droll little play. Checkov is so depressing, man. So basically I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for break.
And Little Kuriboh FINALLY came out with another Yu Gi Oh Abridged episode!!! Hurrah! Go Ineffectual Minor Character Man!
I'm also discovering the joys of online shopping. I'm doing Christmas shopping for my sister online and so far it's been fun. I got some kewl things.
Yup, so thats all I have to report.
