Tic-Tic-Tic Prt. 1
Annabel sighed as she lay on her bed, she couldn’t fall asleep. There she lies in a lonely sprawl, barely moving. She listened to the ever so infuriating ticking of the clock. Repeatedly ticking with no end in sight. It was the loudest thing in the room. She looked to her husband, Edward. She envied how he was able to sleep without any difficulty. She looked to the ceiling and imagined herself falling asleep… it was working, but suddenly a blood culturing scream jolted her awake! She sat up in utter distress and terror. She was gasping for air and her heart was racing. Then another ear piercing scream sounded, this time it sounded like it came from the back porch. Annabel gently got out of bed making her way towards the stairs. Fearfully, she headed towards the stairs. Thoughts about waking Edward crossed her mind, but a scream beckoned her towards the back door. She was dreadfully tense, but curiosity and natural humanity got the better of her. She peered out the back door and held in her breath expecting something horrendous to happen. She saw nothing but the darkness flittering through gleaming raindrops. Breathing a sigh of relief, she relaxed her tense muscles. Then automatically as she held felt utter relief, another scream rushed into her ears and looking back towards the door a face clashed against the window! Annabel screamed in utter shock. She looked closer at the gory face that was screeching down her window. It was obvious that the face was covered in blood and—“that face! I-I know, ohmigod…” she stumbled backwards as she recognized the blood covered face! Then once the face slid out of sight the obnoxious cry of the clock sounded, ringing through Annabel’s ears. She was petrified… then she awoke with a scream. Apparently she had been dreaming… a ghastly dream. “That lady, oh thank god it’s only a dream…” she gasped, “I could never imagine that happening to my sister, Aya.” Shock and terror are the basic emotions she felt right now. She sat back down and got comfortable. Suddenly Annabel was jolted awake again, but this time it was the phone. She hurried over to the receiver and picked up the phone, “Anna? Oh Anna! Th-his is bad! I-its your sister! She died!”
