Random Things Mostly Pertaining to Acting

Yes, I am still alive. Rehearsals have been taking up a lot of my life lately, so I've had no time to do anything on here. This week was Tech Week (or as my mom refers to it, Hell Week), where we started working with lighting cues, and began to work with the full orchestra and microphones. Now we have three days off until we have dress rehearsal every day leading up to next Friday, our opening night.

I actually started this post this morning, but the bell rang and I never got to finish it. It's lunchtime now.

I started Drama this semester. For our last performance, there were a couple people I didn't really know all that well, so it was kind of all business at first. I shortly discovered that things are a lot less awkward when you find that almost everyone else in your group knows the Potter Puppet Pals' Mysterious Ticking Noise song.

Yeah, I do kind of have acting on the brain. It sure beats all my other classes. Of course, it also leads to the songs from our play running through my head repeatedly. I'm beating it by listening to the Little Shop of Horrors soundtrack, though.

Well, the bell's gonna ring in a couple minutes. I hope I'll be able to post at least one picture over my three-day weekend. If I don't, then feel free to slap me with a halibut. Bai bai!

Hi from Advisory

Ugh... I hate advisory. We're discussing homecoming and showing school spirit... The only thing I'm looking forward to is Blast from the Past Day. I've got my outfit all picked out.

So, has anyone ever heard of the infamous Harry Potter fanfiction My Immortal? Yeah. I read it last night. I can hardly believe that the author was serious when she wrote this fic. It's that bad.

If it turns out you like it, then I apologize, it's just my opinion. If you're curious to read it, just look it up on Encyclopedia Dramatica (beware, there is a lot of 18+ content on this site, so its not recommended for kids. Of course, neither is the story.) Have fun!

Advisory's gonna end any minute now, so I'm signing off. Seeya!

Aloha!

YEEEESSS!!!! I FINALLY HAVE THE USE OF TEH INTERNETZ AGAIN!!! Forgive me; that just had to be said. I'm currently vacationing in Hawaii, and none of the places we've been to so far have bestowed us with free wifi. This one does, though!

So yeaaah, just chillaxin in my hotel room on Maui. I went on a submarine trip this afternoon (I gots to see a whole lotta fishies!) and the day before that I went on a cruise! It was to Molokini Crater (I hope that is spelled right!) and while there was a chance to go snorkeling, I was already tired, sunburnt, and sore from snorkeling the day before.

So ya, that's my quick recap. I'm gonna sign off here, and who knows when I'll be back on?

Anyhoo, baibai!

Holiday Pops 2009

Hi, all! I've been on the computer for quite some time, and I thought I would post! My town's run of Holiday Pops concerts ended Sunday (I was a part of the soprano section!) and someone in the audience posted some of our songs on YouTube. ...

Jus' Sitting in the Dark

As the title says, I'm just sitting in my room. In the dark. Admiring the pretty Christmas lights outside. They're shiny...

I've been singing the chorus to Don't Cry For Me, Argentina repeatedly. It's a nice song. The musical itself is pretty good, too. There's a character named Che, and he's sort of the commentator on Evita's actions. He's awesome.

"As a mere observer, one must admire the stage management."
Guards start to close in on him.
"There again, maybe I'm not just a mere observer. Listen to my enthusiasm, gentlemen! Peron! Peron! Peron-- look, if I took off my shirt, would you--?"

This is random, but there is a cat who comes over to my house on occasion, who we call Mo. We don't know where he lives, or who he belongs to, but he always comes over to our house and scarfs up our cat food. And then he'll occasionally disappear for a few months, then suddenly come back as if nothing had happened. I'm guessing he might just go off looking for a mate.

So ya, randomness for the day. Baibai!
