I couldn’t sleep like always and I was listening to anime music and had this idea that I should chart my top four anime singers. So here they are:
4. Mai Yamame

My apologies that I have not been on to update this world in sometime, I have been very busy with business matters. My younger brother just graduated from High School and decided that he wanted to open a anime store with me. I have been busy getting all of the legal paperwork filed, opening bank accounts, researching the industry, finding and talking to vendors about there products and services, and writing business a plan. Oh did I mention that I have to get a majority of the work done soon because I start classes again on July the 14. It has been a whirlwind but I have gotten a lot done. For our anime store we decided to go with the name IroIro anime. Our operations will start online (which is scheduled to launch this October) and are target area is going to be Metro Denver. We are also going to focus on the internet as a whole. If all should go as project by the business plan we should have a physical presents in Metro Denver some time next year. We are going in impalement some marketing tactics that we came up with to arise awareness of us in the community and no there not illegal lol.
Anyway enough about that, Did anyone see the end of Death Note? I know what was going to happen mid-way thru the series but I didn’t expect it in such dramatic fashion. Code Geass is getting pretty good as well but I fell asleep while watching it (thank goodness for DVR’s) I’ll watch it before the next episode.
I know everyone has still been drawing so I have a lot of catching up to be. I enjoy looking at and commenting on drawing. I bet everyone has gotten a lot better, I am excited to see. I think what I am going to start doing is stat posting about my classes. I am sure there is some sort of information everyone can use. I have color theory and Digital Image sometime the word is cut off lol, this semester so it should be interesting.
Well that’s it from me I have to get back to work, it’s going to be a long night but thankfully I have my ROCKSTAR to help me with that lol. Everyone have a Chakorific Day!
Hey everyone it’s been awhile since I last posted. I was very busy with classes but the term ended last Friday so I have some time to start posting pictures. I am currently working on a picture of Vanilla and NORMAD and should have it done soon. I learned some new techniques for drawing and I will be implementing theme in further drawing.
Let’s talk color pencils, when I first started drawing I was using Rose Art color pencils because to be honest they were cheap and for the price there was a lot of color pencils. They were good for first starting out but the lead was a little too hard for drawing pads so I had to upgrade color pencils. I chose to go with Prismacolor color pencils because the lead is softer so it lays down better and you can build up the color better and Prismacolor has a blending pencil which I like a lot. Once I post the picture of Cheza I did on 11x14 paper and you can see how the blending pencil came in handy. The cost of the Prismacolor pencils is about $1.50 a pencil as apposed to the Rose Art color pencils which were about $5.00 of 72 pencils. I think the Prismacolor pencils are worth the price and they are really helping me take my art to a higher level.
Well since I just made this site it is fitting that I be the first to post. I am a 26 year old Part-time college art student. I would go full time but it is really expensive. I have been drawing since I was 15 years old and a lot of my work was for graphite artist. I still have some old pieces that I did and if anyone would like to see them I will post them. When I turned 17 years old I got really interested in girls and gradually stopped drawing. In 2005 I started drawing again and found that anime was something I was passionate about and wanted to maybe pursue as a career but I was enrolled in a Community College that I really did not like and I wanted to please other people than myself. Finally in December of 2007 I decided that I was going to purse my passion go to Art College. After I did the necessary steps I started my classes in February of 2008 and the degree that I am currently pursuing is Media Arts and Animation.
Although I have not been going to the Art College very long I have learned a lot of valuable information that I have incorporated in my drawing skills and I can see improvements in both speed and detail. I am excited about what is in store for me in the future and I know it is going to be an excellent experience. Now that little story is over I can move on to other things.
I have been an anime fan on and off thru out my life. I started off watching Voltron, Speed Racer, Astro Boy, and Ronin Warriors and so on but there was not a lot of anime that I knew of in the 80’s and early 90’s but in 1994 my whole world was flipped upside down. In 1994 I watch a anime that was nothing that I had never seen before and it was named Armitage III The Third. I was blown away but the animation, voice acting and story line. Armitage really got me interested in anime but it wasn’t until I watched another anime that set me on the course of becoming and Otaku. The anime was Ghost in the Shell, after I saw that I knew that that was it and I was in love with anime. Every since then I wanted to watch more anime and learn more about Japan (and wanted to meet Japanese girl lol).
Time passed and I still got my anime fix here and there like watching Pokemon and what not but I was a closet Otaku and none of my friends knew and not even the girl I was dating but time moved on and We broke up I got rid of my friends (because they were bad news) and Started pursuing the life of an Otaku which brings us to present time.
