Well it another day in Mayberry lol I am working on some homework for observational drawing and then I’ll be done for the week. Then I can work on art for the otaku without any obstructions. I feel bad that I haven’t posted anything recently. I know that some of yall have wanted me to post new art and for that I apologize. This weekend I will get something up even if it is line art to start.
Moving on, I am stuck on Inuyasha ‘Secrets of the Divine Jewel’ I have been walking around for what seems like forever. I hope I’ll figure it out or I will just have to buy a guide to figure it out. I have been practicing my fighting skills on BLEACH. I play online as well but I have a long way to go lol. It’s fun though and a great way to kill time before bed. I was looking for my gamer number on Nintendo.com but I couldn’t find it. I wanted to post it here so we could play together sometime but I couldn’t find it. Hello all it’s another great day and I am one happy camper. Last night was great, she was so perfect. We had a lot in common and she didn’t mind that I was such a big otaku. Went meet at Chili’s and had dinner then we went to a movie. I didn’t act like a scary otaku and I am surprised about that because I was really nervous. Now it is time for the hunt lol, the crazy thing is she is an ex-girlfriend from high school which I had not spoken to in over 12 years and being with her last night just felt right.
Enough of that, I have been super lazy and haven’t finished my drawing or homework. I am just not feeling in for some reason. I’m just feeling really tired and I have no energy but I really got to finish tomorrow’s homework. I will get on it after I am done with this and watching some anime (spoken like an otaku).
Well that is enough from me I am going to get something to eat and get on with my afternoon. Have a good one and TTYL
It’s me again, it’s Friday night and while everyone (my age) is going out I am sticking to the true calling of the Otaku. Watch anime all night! Listen to OST’s and draw and blog about anime. I did one drawing so far but it is on large drawing paper so I can’t scan it but I am drawing the again on 9”x12” and I might color it. I will defiantly post the line art. Now will probably be a good time to tell yall what the drawing is. One is a picture of Haruhi Suzumiya and the other I am not too sure yet.
My professor told me something that I took to heart; he told me that an animator is nothing more than a great tracer. I thought about it and to a large extent I found it to be true. Most animators don’t do Character design (unless be some great power you land a job with CLAMP or BONES) they do the individual cells for the particular series. That’s what I want to do when I start out. I want to better my drawing mechanics to the point that I can do Character design. For alloy of my drawings I am thinking of do piece that have already been done to better understand the mechanics. I am learning a lot from my classes and I would recommend anyone series about there are to go to an art college as opposed to a conventional college. You still have to do the fundamentals of college like English, math, what not, but the other classes are degree orientated. The down side is it is more expensive that regular college. For example my degree is going to cost me about $98,000. Yeah that right $98,000 so you have to be committed big time.
Moving on, I’m not much into video games as I use to be. I play my DS once in a while but I rather watch anime. When I watch anime I find myself looking at the autonomy of the characters as well as how their design fits the character’s personality. When I first started watching anime I was so involved in the story that I was missing out on the good stuff as I see it. I still follow the story but I just look at anime in a different light so to speak. Nandesukan is coming next month to Denver. Nandesukan is the biggest anime convention that comes to town every year. I thought I was not going to go this year but decided that I didn’t want to miss this year’s convention. I always have lots of fun at Nandesukan and I like seeing the cosplayers’ lol. I think cosplayers are really cool, I wish I could do it as well but I don’t have the drive to sow my own costume call me lazy lol.
Well I think I am going to wrap this up because I feel like I am rambling at this point. I am going to finish The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and then start on Magical Meow Meow Taruto (it sounds interesting). Till next time…
It’s only Tuesday and I am spent! I have a really bad case of writer’s block for my English class. I am supposed to write a paper about an event in my life. I can’t even remember what happened last week so how the hell am I supposed to write a paper like that lol. I am so stressed about that that I caught a case of the F*&@ it’s with it. Oh well I will get it done by tomorrow, no worries. My other classes are going alright; it just sucks that there at night. I rather be watching anime and listening to music lol.
I’m just grooving to ‘Lions Never Surrender’ by Mitsuaki Madono. The song is on one of the BLEACH Beats Collection but I forget which one. I picked up Season 2 of Kodomo no Omocha (Kodocha) and a series called Kirameki Project which I have never heard of but it was at a really good price at Best Buy so I got it. I hope it is good and even if it isn’t that great the art work looks good. I have so much anime to watch it’s not funny but yet I keep buying more lol. I am a Shojo, bishounen fan myself so series like Fruits Basket, Kodomo no Omocha, and Galaxy Angel are my favorites. That doesn’t mean that I won’t watch other anime, I love anime as a whole and will watch anything anime.
I am meeting up with a friend this weekend from High School. I have not seen her in a very long time and I was surprised to hear from her on myspace. I am using my alias and she still found me lol. I am really nerves about it and when I get nervous I get really clumsy and at like a Otaku lol. I use to be the Don Juan in high school when it came to the ladies but then I got older and became an Otaku lol. I am border line Akiba-Kei and I know it but its cool just as long as I don’t become a scary Otaku like the two guys from Cosplay Complex lol.
Well that’s all from me, time to try and work on homework (BOOOO). I will finish the drawing soon.
Hey everyone I hope your week went well. I am working on some new drawing and thought I would take a break and add a post. I had a pretty busy week with classes, for my drawing class we have to do 16 drawings in different styles so I am pretty excited about that. My other classes are alright, they have their ups and downs but I will roll with it. It’s been really hot where I am at the last few days so I try to stay with the air conditioner is lol. Don’t get me wrong I like the heat (it’s better than snow) but dry heat sucks lol. Other than that everything’s been CHAKORIFIC!!! Lol.
I got some new anime this week; I pick up The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya the complete collection, Magical Meow Meow Taruto the complete collection, and Cowboy Bebop Remix the complete collection. Now that brings my total collection to 95 complete series and then there are movies and incomplete series but we won’t worry about those are we will be here for a while lol. I take pride in my collection but my otaku ways don’t just stop there. I have a lot of figures, which my statue of Vanilla from Galaxy Angel is my pride and joy, a lot of OST’s, and posters and junk all over my room. I was watching Midori Days and I had come to realized that I was a pretty hardcore Otaku and I had to laugh about it to comfort the pain lol.
Changing gears, I finally received some information from a vendor I needed for my anime store. Little did I know that it is 400+ pages of merchandise information that I now have to read thru and put in to a catalog and then select what items that I want for the launch of the site. That’s not even counting the information from the other venders I have to go thru, but I will get it done in between class work and drawing for this site.
