A warm breeze blew over the Soul Society one bright day. Tempest Kotone was at her desk when the breeze blew away a few of her papers. Suddenly, a Hell Butterfly fluttered in through an open window. Tempest looked up with anticipation. "What do we have here?" She asked herself. "Captain Hisao Junichi, has been told that you must receive this letter and precisely follow the instructions inside. Please accept the mission kindly." A familiar voice said.
Tempest frowned and read the letter silently. She immediately became angered. "What?! I have to go the the Land of the Living! This is ridiculous!" She gasped. Behind the door, someone chuckled.
"But not as ridiculous as your reaction, Lieutenant Tempest Kotone." Another voice said. The door slid open and in came the captain himself, Hisao Junichi. "Captain, what is the meaning of this?" Tempest demanded. Junichi smiled. "Important news from the higher ups. Don't ask me about it... all I know is that there have been several attacks on the Ryoka, and someone must be sent to destroy the source of the monsters before they reach the inner walls." Junichi explained.
"I see. But, why me?" Tempest asked sternly. "Well, they thought that you could deal with the humans better than the rest of us." Junichi chuckled. "Ha ha, very funny." Tempest remarked.
