Because of self-experimentation and adding a filter to herself, she can be exposed to Nodin’s breath for a couple of minutes

Hair: Thick, straight light brown/sandy blonde hair. During the years with XL, however, her hair has lost its luster, thinned out, and has started graying.

Personality: Extremely humble and patient. Unfortunately, she can also be too gullible and trusting. She will always honestly find sometime nice to say even if you’re blatantly evil. Before XL, she was extremely ambitious and was a positive thinker. Like Nodin, though not as severely, she tends to get lost in her thoughts.
Looks: She now has scars all over her body, the most prominent ones being the one on her neck and the ones on her wrists. These were results of self-experimentation, such as placing a filter within her throat and several injections of different serums and disease waste. (Though not really part of looks, she also has a Swindon British accent.)
Appearance: A weak and tired woman that has a genuine smile.

She usually wears pastel colored blouses with middle length skirts and ballet flats. She abandoned her lab coat once she escaped XL.

Strengths:
She’s a good teacher and a good strategist. Because she’s been around XL scientists from the beginning, she’s familiar with the inner workings of XL.
Weaknesses:
Because of her personality, she is incredibly credulous and will believe almost anything you tell her. Her innocence had blinded her from the existence of evil. It wasn’t until XL became corrupted did she open her eyes. Hannah’s personality will also keep her from standing up for herself. Rather, she’ll turn quiet and submit to your demands. Her years with XL has left her frail and weak, keeping her from putting up a fight, which she wouldn’t be good at anyways even if she did have the strength.
Fears: Losing her family, human experimentation
Relationships: Hannah’s very amicable. She will always show kindness and find something good to say about you. While in XL, she has a small handful of scientists that she trusts to help her experiment on herself or help her communicate with Samael. This group included Josue, one of Melina’s scientists, and Christina, Charlie’s fiancé.
Family: Her son Daniel/Nodin and her husband Neil/Samael
History: As an aspiring medical researcher, she was hoping to find cures to several diseases and help the whole world. Her list of achievements interested Cyrus Alatum, her idol, and she became part of the first group of scientists that would eventually evolve into XL. She made significant progress in her research with these scientists, but as the group became more corrupt, the good-natured scientists began to disappear. Hannah was spared because Dr. Richard Hawkins, who took over as leader of XL, couldn’t afford to dispose of her because of her skills. However, they could easily fool her, and kept her unaware of the true evil of XL. Around the same time Cyrus was imprisoned, it was revealed to Hannah that her research was used to experiment on insubordinate scientists and eventually on her own son when she tried defying them. She traded her own freedom for his, and has spent the past decade researching and experimenting for XL in order to keep him safe. The only other person she has operated on ahs been Nodin. All of her preliminary tests and experiments have been done on herself to avoid hurting anyone else. If she cannot do it with her own hands, she has one of the few scientists she trusts to perform the surgery on her.

Abilities: He honestly isn’t anything special. No schooling, no experience. The only real education he really received or cared about is what Hannah taught him. His years of drug abuse have caused his physical wellness to deteriorate. However, he is pretty good at tinkering with objects and he knows some basic engineering. The greatest ability he probably has being able to understand Nodin. He mostly works based on instinct or whatever his gut tells him to do when it comes down to it.
Age: Doesn’t remember exactly, but he’s around 40 years old

Hair: Black hair styled to a long taper cut. He also has a bit of scruff around his face.

Personality: Calloused and aloof, Neil is usually unwelcoming and suspicious to strangers, even more so that XL has invaded his life. Hannah’s the only one that has seen a glimpse of how he really is. However, the ten years without her and the ten years of him watching his son’s suffering has caused him to retreat back into seclusion. He doesn’t have a good memory, so if he needs to remember something you have to either write it down or constantly remind him.
Looks: He has scars down his arms, though mostly around his wrists, from injected drugs.
Appearance: He looks pretty average. However, he’s usually compared to a stray dog due to his history and appearance.

He just wears plain solid color t-shirts and cargo pants.

Strengths:
Despite his lack of strength and stamina, he can sprint pretty fast. It’s what has saved his butt from XL when they discovered him in Germany. He also believes in mind over matter. His determination will help him accomplish anything.
Weaknesses:
He’s physically unstable and can’t really fight. He’s also not the brightest, making him not good at planning or strategizing, but if you lead him in the right direction, he will obediently follow.

Relationships: Ten years of hardship has left him once again cynical and mistrusting. He usually pays no mind to the people around him, and only really listens to his son and wife. If you make eye contact with him he’ll quickly look away and pretend to look at something else. When spoken to, he might pretend to hear the person calling him the first few times, or he might ignore you all together.

He has a wife named Hannah and his son is Daniel/Nodin.
History: His addiction started at a young age to relieve some stress. He had a single mother that was never home and that never really cared about him. She spent most of their money on alcohol, so he had to find jobs to support him and his mother. Most of his life, he’s been on the streets or small apartments if he’s lucky enough to get a job. Because of his knack at tinkering, he’s gotten a lot of handyman jobs, but he usually loses them because of poor worker relations or they find out about his drug problem. His mother died when he was sixteen, and his will to work eventually subsided and began living in the streets. After a few years later, he met Hannah McCalman, who gave him help, food, shelter, and a name: Neil. The happiness and relief she gave him helped him find out what kind of person he is, and what kind of person he wanted to be. They eventually fell in love, got married, and had a son. However, after his wife took on a job with Xenogenesis Laboratories, the corrupt scientists kidnapped his son and experimented on him as an Aerico prototype. Hannah managed to smuggle their son’s original files before XL imprisoned her. In order to try and keep his identity and his location safe, he went by the name Samael. For the next ten years, Samael raised their son, constantly having to feed him the lie that he was an Aerico himself, and had infrequent contact with his wife through secret messages. During this time, he would come across others who have been devastated by XL’s ruthlessness, such as Charlie Corners. When he met the MCC, he saw it as an opportunity to get his son back to his wife to improve his condition. He also used this time to learn more about XL and to try and find Charlie.
