A Long Day

ALICE

So, with the things that have just gone down, it's been a pretty long day. Everything had been such a blur, between the time when we were all knocked out at the table, to escaping into the forest. Who would've thought that Sam was, well-evil? Shame. I should've taken him out when I had the chance. Luckily enough I was able to grab a few blood boxes from the fridge when they stopped to retrieve Akira's laptop. Thank goodness, because I was not going to actually hunt. I sighed to myself.

Apparently I was picked to join the rescue group that's going to infiltrate XL. Shouldn't be a problem sneaking in because I'm already quiet enough, no one will see me. Maybe I can come up with some sort of plan to help the others. I hope the others are okay. Finally made some friends and they get kidnapped. I have the worst luck. Seriously. I didn't have time to get anything else out of the house but I was already wearing the bracelet Alex got me and had my phone on me at the time of the attack. I turned it off to save the battery in case of emergency.

I decided to rest up like the others to prepare for what was to come in the next few days.

In the morning, I awoke to a group of the rescue team talking not far from where I was sleeping. I brushed myself off and pulled my hair back to catch up on the conversation. I sat on a rock next to them and listened in.

Griffin was letting everyone pitch plan ideas. I had heard everything from becoming spies to lots of impossible ideas like laser guns. I decided to raise my hand slightly. Griffin called on me just as I was putting my hand back down.
"What's your idea, Alice?" He asked. Man, so close.
"I was thinking that we could disguise ourselves as XL scientists, with wigs and labcoats, all that stuff, and sneak in. We could find a XL van, knock the drivers out, and sneak in under the cover of their car so we don't look as though we just walked in off the street. We'll steal their badges and identities and use them to get through the doors. After we hijack the security systems, we can find out where they are hiding everyone. If anyone else has a cellphone, someone can stay behind in the security room and keep watch if anyone is headed your way. They'll locate possible exits and the closest routes. Another person will stay behind in the van as the getaway driver, someone who can drive-I don't plan on dying again." I finished and saw that everyone was staring at me with their mouths hung open. "What?"

"I think that's the most you've ever said." Griffin commented.
"Kateri rubbed off on me?" I shrug.
"It sounds good. With a little tweaks, it just might work. Although, who here is good with computers?" Griffin asked.

Riley raised her hand. "I've read about them before. I'm sure I could do it."
"Good, good." Griffin's eyes narrowed. "This might just work."
"Now all we need is a driver?" I pointed out looking around the circle. I doubt that anyone here can drive so I raised my hand. "I'm sure I can figure it out. I've only ever rode horses though, but I'd be happy too if needed."
"Alright, then. Any other ideas?" Griffin started talking again.
